You're lucky ... I'm a midget and as I don't do anything it means I can barely eat a thing
It's probably, in part, why I don't bother with food - and I snack instead.... making those few calories I can have stretch across the day and at least be "nice things I fancy" like sweeties and cheesecake.0 -

Stats have been skewed. That was one of the "wheezes" worked by people with kids.
16 hours of "doing Avon" or "making cr4p for Etsy" and they'd not make any profit, but get WTC top ups worth a small fortune. So, that's what they did, registered as self-employed and "made it up".
It's also a way for a lot of immigrants to get round some of the benefits rules. Once they registered as self employed they'd claim WTC etc and their job is often "collecting scrap metal" and other "not really jobs" things. I think if they did nothing, they got nothing; register as self-employed and they'd get access to a lot ... but I don't know how it works, so don't ask me for details.0 -
I was saying about British people working in Spain they don't get Uk benefits of course if they did there would be a lot more moving over there....less for the uk to payout then....haha0

It doesn't any more. There is now an assumed earning rate of national minimum wage and you have to work 30(?) hours a week to get it. So the system assumes you are getting ~£240 a week in and assess your credits to top that up. Rather than people saying they are self employed but earning zilch.
Government line is that if you can't earn NMW with your self employment you need to go get a job.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. The Spirit family theory on why Boris got the Foreign office.
Mrs May wanted him inside the tent pi55ing out, rather than outside pi55ing in.
The two big foreign policy roles have been given to liam fox and david davies leaving Boris with advising us not to go to Turkey for our holidays or providing consular assistance to hungover teens in Magaluf

Sorry vivaI was too tired to make the connection!
Time I went to bed, I think. I'll worry about Turkey in the morning, if I need to.0 -
I've heard you were partial to a bit of innuendo yourself in your younger days what with the booty calls 'n all....
I thought it might lead to something. In retrospect, he was an ar5e and I did give him quite a spectacular rollocking of a dumping, eventually. In hindsight, he was 6' 3" of beautiful to behold and tremendous fun.
Who doesn't want to be the subject of an All Saints song?
I'm rubbish at innuendo and flirting in real life.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Ha, you're ok... I spent all night having one of those annoying dreams where you are in some place and trying to get home. I should not watch the news before bed.
We've had too much news of late.
