I think I have something in my roof stomping about (so bird, not furry).

Fact 1: I am NOT going to look ... at all, ever.

    Who do I call?

There's a slim chance it's the baby seagulls running along next door's metal-roofed conservatory as today seems to be their first "trying to fly" day, so I might discover I can hear them running along that to take off.... currently waiting to hear it again so I can look out of the window.

Have you got a neighbour you can ask to stick their head through the hatch?
It would be worth checking, 'cos you don't want to risk a pile of guano! Apart from the corrosive effect of it, it's a health hazard.

I also have "an industrial injury" .... as my sibling would call it.

In running about, earlier, to try to work out where the noise I was hearing was coming from, I trotted into my bedroom and promptly banged my shin on the corner of the bed.

It's come up in a strange bruise, about 2" long, with a graze. The bruise has taken on the appearance of "blood pooled very close to the top layer of skin", rather than the usual "blood that's pooled quite deep". So more like a purple blister than a bruise.

It's also clashing in colour with the bruise I obtained the other week when I hurt myself (but now can't remember how). Ah, yes, when I fell off the bike.... that one's just small/yellow now.

Noise has gone... I do hope it was the seagulls on next door's roof I was hearing.

I haven't really - and I don't like to "bother people". At all. One is, allegedly, a builder... but it still took him 3 weeks to replace his own huge roof slate after the last storms, so he's probably not the best person to ask.

I'm hoping I don't have a problem... I'm hoping now that I've worked out what the noise is ....

Last thing I want is "unknown trotters" in the roof.

OK all I can find is his Linkedin page, and as I'm not signed up can't get his full profile. Anyone here signed up to it? Obviously I'm not going to give this info to anyone!

Edit -I've found his work email. As soon as I hear anything I'll let you all know.
