'Ave a Banana!
Ave a banana was my old phone password!
As soon as Lets all go down the Strand was mentioned, that's the first thing I thought. My grandad used to sing that. Happy memories. Thanks all. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? On the other hand, I'd first calculate the cost of the fuel/drive and then convert that into how many pies I could buy with that money ... and decide it's not for me.
LOL - it would come to quite a few pies, I reckon.0 -

That's only a bit over 6 Annas, or a bit under half a Rupee.

Pop quiz, 3 kids, 11, 10 and 7 - what is our monthly spend on extra-curricular activities?
IMHO kids only need one after school activity midweek and one at weekends. The rest of the time they can chill out and be kids.
I'm thinking a fiver a session, so £30 a week in total. Most things run on termly basis, so you aren't paying in the holidays (though you probably have holiday camps instead).I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I made a little jelly earlier, with cubes. Bit of a wait for it to set, but it was nice enough .... Tomorrow I'll probably make up 3 more little jellies, just because I can .... and make each one different. Not majorly different, just a bit so I don't get bored of jelly.
I'm bored of soddin' salad, that's for sure.....
How about salad jelly?0 -

Already eaten over half the lettuce, 3 tomatoes, a pasta salad, 2 boiled eggs, 10 cocktail sausages, 30 grams of grated cheese and half a red pepper. Sick of the sight of it all to be honest. I think I'll go and dig out the last four slices of bread and have salad sandwiches tomorrow.... that'll make it more exciting to eat.
You could make a whole jelly and it would keep for ages in the fridge, far longer than your lettuce leaves.
Trick is to have different salads each day, rather than a bit of everything all the time.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I find the trick with salads is not to use lettuce in them. Almost anything else... chopped apple, a handful of raisins, nuts, seeds, cold baked beans (very Aussie), but not lettuce. That and ring the changes with dressing. I have lettuce in salads, but only occasionally, rather than as the norm. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
