its about Money saving..x.mature cheddar less than £6.00 a kilo and as an average £20.00 a kilo here...marmite 250gr 7.60 euros(saw it today) converted cost 3.30euros= £2.50 approx from tesco...I prefer english sausages and bacon...and then items as sage and onion stuffing grav ypowder or granules all cheaper in Uk...large size mixed fruit for cakes etc.. as they seem to only have smaller quantiites so works out dearer....goldern syrup is cheaper..then I will buy some special offer goods....so nothing out of the ordinary just MSE....;)

I've never viewed a stirfry as a "proper meal" .... I suspect the last owner of this house liked a lot of those as there was a coating of grease everywhere, including on the blind slats about 6' from the hob. I suspect she was freely tossing fat and stuff all over the place.

I also don't see pasta as "a proper meal".

Both are food .... but I'd not cross the road to eat them :)

Hahahahahaha! Pasta is my second staple!

Pasta. Stirfry. Yum yum yum. Both quick, easy, nourishing, tasty and minimal washing up!

Very often I'll chop up a veg, like a courgette, and bung that in with the pasta, then mix it all up in the sauce! Yum!

It gets worse! I really dislike courgettes.

Next you'll be telling me you put mushrooms in there too ....!

My taste buds are quite happy with the 1960s/1970s thank you very much. None of this new-fangled furren cr4p :)

    Yep! Love mushrooms! And olives!

In fact, the only things I don't really like are beetroot and chocolate.

(Although I did once make an astounding chocolate and beetroot cake! Funny old life, ain't it!)

    Fancy some escargots, Pastures? :D:D:D

I will start talking about something else next week, honest.

I'm not convinced that Russia is going to win. On the Eurovision forums, most of the people who like it are Russian and therefore can't vote for it. It's also not in the iTunes charts of many countries. Finland is a rare exception. In the Baltics, it's the Baltic entries that are charting. Even Sweden not doing that well in Scandinavia either.

The ones that are charting elsewhere are Australia, Netherlands, Belgium, France (in Israel it is higher placed than the Israeli song) and Austria.

On chart traffic and fan forum favourites, Australia looks in the lead.

Strangely the two songs that are all over Europe at the moment are Justin Timberlake... lucky he's the interval act, plus former Swedish winner Loreen.

And I'm posting here for fun. Please don't take anything I say too seriously or lose money on something I've said. I'll be gutted if you do.

Don't worry, the fun I've had is well worth any amount that I may lose. Look at it that instead of throwing money on a country I like/ the one with the fittest looking singer/ most bizarre outfit I've looked in the viva crystal ball.

Pop[ladydog naughty word] follows Eurovision closely and they have Russia down as a lay. Apparently it's not going down at all well with the audience. This is their competition guide with all the runners and riders:

Just got my amazon prime reduced from £79 to £59 following a tip on another thread. So that's paid for the eurovision bets.
