Does it never get (much) colder than that?
In the coldest part of greater Sydney the minimum likely temperature is about 2-3C, enough to get a sprinkling of frost on the grass and a frosted windscreen. We'll get that 2-3 days each winter in Western Sydney.
The maximum daytime temperature in Sydney in winter is typically mid-teens at the lowest. It would be highly unusual for the temperature to fail to get into double figures, even out west. (The closer you are to the Ocean the higher the winter temps and the lower the summer temps).
AFAIK it has never snowed in Sydney since white settlement. There are mountains about 40 kms inland from the coast at Sydney, part of the Great Coastal Range known as the Blue Mountains in this section, and we get occasional snow there. I saw snow last year in the Blue Mountains and I have friends that live up there that post an average of a snowman a year on Facebook.
Snow, if it settles at all in the Blue Mountains, probably lasts a day or so. It's a lot like snow in London.0 -

He'll even understand your garden/soil type and you'll get an alert when online shopping if something's not the right product for your garden and asking if you want to order it anyway (it might be a gift, or you might just be a risk-taker)
Yes, I'm with chris_m, sounds awful:eek:.
So far this year I've created a small alpine garden, sorted out the front section by the gate, created a natural prairie style ( well that's what I'm call it) patch, 20 ' path, a strip of climbing roses + evergreens between said path and wall and planted the orchard, well 5 columnar apple trees. Rest of side garden should be planted over the next few weeks and then it's the pond and the bog garden.
Gardening books are now officially classed as dangerous in my house:D0 -
We have vague thoughts of a vegetable patch.
They haven't got much further than vague.

Must say Gen 10 is chilly in our house also we had the small log burner on last night in our conservatory...ok had to succumb to opening the door and windows for a bit but certainly needed some heat around the place...1801 the property was built and the walls are 20 inches thick all stone...heatwave weather we can come in doors to cool down though.
When we where house hunting we thought we would buy a modern bungee but they where all so hot in side....0 -

I'm probably going to add a little ornamental thing at the top of the slope, though calling it a pond is a bit of a stretch!0 -
quote... each time, she makes something - I must say, she's actually quite inept. Having seen her "start to work" on the items, I swear blind she can't have finished them on her own. Yesterday I saw her saw-work; today I saw her metal/hacksaw work. She's just too inexperienced/useless with those basics for me to believe she does the work on them.... unquote
I heard the other week that she was a trained chef of 10 years standing...so she really should have got that saw work done professionally....missed the results of the chairs.....was making a cornish pastie....0 -
I agree with some of the prices, PasturesNew. I think it is all London that buy them or similar. It would have to be!
Some of the ideas are good, though! Particularly the ones that require a big sideways leap, like the leather sofa turned into a designer dress! Trouble is, they didn't use all the leather, or the rest of the sofa, so what happened to it?
Edit. I find wood sawing incredibly difficult. I'm hopeless.
Yet, like you, I have done some jewellery, and can use a hacksaw on metal quite successfully, " knowing the action and why". Can't get it to work with wood.(I just lurve spiders!)
