I hope that those who were trying to sleep in the early hours finally managed to get some.

Hopefully Hamish, you'll be able to sleep on the plane. Unless you are the pilot that is:eek:

It brings to mind the old Bob Monkhouse joke:

I'd like to die peacefully in my sleep, not screaming in terror like his passengers.

    Hope you're okay GDB.

Thanks, yes. This time it's DW's cousin. We really liked him, and got on well. So, it's a significant loss.

We're in Norfolk for the funeral tomorrow of a friend here, but it looks like we'll have to miss that and go back home.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I think you should continue with your existing plans. You can do both.

Or is it a religion thing where it's expected for all people to gather within X hours/days or something I've no idea about?

I'd have expected them to 'accept' that you'll be coming home, say, tomorrow late afternoon - and be able to visit them etc on, say, Wednesday.

The cousin's funeral is quite likely to be tomorrow. We haven't had a firm date. It's a good three hour's drive home, plus half a day to clean up here and pack.

For once, I actually had no trouble sleeping, think all of you struggling to sleep sent me your sleeping dust.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Sorry for the loss of your cousin and friend.

Horrible to get those calls. You dread picking the phone up.

In zombie apocalpyse genre books, the apocalypse is usually signalled by news like this about an incident on a flight, but no one realised what is going on until the zombies are in their back garden. Keep your eyes peeled.
