He has discovered to his own cost that wearing sunscreen is the better thing to do in the short term, as he has got badly burnt, I'm not going to dwell on the long term impact as it would drive me crazy.

    Kids eh?

I feel for you. (Missing that head banging into wall smiley now!)

I know bending over to brush my teeth is not great for my back, but the key bit is the 'over' bit - mouth over sink to catch the dribbles, bending at the knee would not have the same effect.

It's specially important when brushing teeth because the toothbrush is so very heavy!

LNE's birthday today. His parents say they're now too old to make the trip down to this part of the country to visit the "grave" (little stone where his ashes were buried) so they sent money for DD and me to get flowers and put them there on his behalf. Then I took DD to eat out at what used to be his favourite pub for food.

Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

That must be very sad for LNE's parents. The flowers you chose look lovely. Hugs to you and your family dear Lydia. :grouphug:

    And from me.

    The flowers are amazing!
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Wide Awake Club: Obviously I have "lots to watch on the telly" tonight!

    RIP.

I am awake as I needed painkillers.... so found two more out of date ones in my first aid box :)

I'll get some fresh ones next time I'm out.... just not at 4am.

I hope you managed to get some sleep PN.

What a horrible, evil night. My thoughts are with those affected by this terrible attack on innocent young people and families.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

The flowers look lovely Lydia, you chose good! (I did multi-quote the post to quote the DQWD bit, but for some reason it didn't go through)

    Some people are nasty.

I've tweeted much the same this morning. I hope our Northern NPs families and friends are safe and well.

I am forever shocked and saddened by the pain and hardship man can deliberately inflict on each other.
