Thanks for the tip. We'll see if I can make this one last as long as the last one, but eventually I'll need another...
Does "elsewhere" still exist? I am planning to get someone to take a pic of me wearing it at the wedding. (I am doing the online dating thing - not with any notable success so far, but you never know - and am feeling that my most recent pic on the dating website dates back to when I joined it the first time round - in 2010!!) So I post a pic of me in it if there was somewhere that only genuine NP would be able to see it.
It's a lovely dress, and you'll look very glam.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Awww! Thank you GDB. You say the nicest things.
Thank you everyone else who's said it's nice, too, especially about the curves, Pyxis!Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Beautiful dress Lydia. Love the colour, you'll look great in that. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Tomorrow I am going to a wedding.
This morning I realised that I no longer fit into the dress I have been wearing to all weddings, 90th birthday parties, ordinations, retirement parties, work Christmas parties and other such occasions (what I think of as "a dress but not an evening dress" occasions) for years (25.5 years in fact - I wear my clothes until they can't be worn any more). So I've been shopping. I got this, and a navy jacket to wear over it and an appropriate garment with suitable civil engineering to go under it and make it hang right. Also a necklace and some earrings.
ETA It is stretchy (so I can eat as much as I like without bursting out of it) and has no fastenings (unlike the old one which had to be zipped up the back). This one just pulls over the head, so there is no need for someone else to do me up at the back. Very handy now I'm single.
Even with extra and super strong civil engineering under it, I still wouldn't have the body for that type of dress.
Lovely dress and I am sure you will look absolutely stunning in it.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
