So you are saying this is no longer law?

Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013

    http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2013/3134/pdfs/uksi_20133134_en.pdf

Charging for use of parking spaces is specifically stated as covered by the Regulations, as shown in the EU Guidance behind the original Directive upon which the UK Law is based where it is stated: ''For example, renting a parking space...is subject to the Directive.''

In other words, the distance selling contract regulations do apply in UK law.

Car park signage also comes under the distance selling contract regulations, so neither party has to be present at a face to face meeting to form a contract.

The job here though is to show that the contract was unfair, obfuscation of contract occurred (OP unable to register the vehicle reg number) and also to ask a number of questions to enable a fair appeal to be made.

    On topic for this thread...
Did you mean frustration of contract? Would make more sense.

Perhaps this discussion of contract law is taking this thread off-piste or derailing it, and needs to be continued elsewhere???
