Hi,
You will soon realise that MSE is getting similar to mumsnet wherein most of the women will jump on men for, what they believe, being critical of their partner/wife.
You will soon see this post wander off topic and calling you abusive and she should ask for a divorce and if you were their husband you would be out of the streets, etc, etc. It gets comical very quickly0 -
You could look at it from a safety aspect. Doors being shut at night helps in fire safety. During the day, they help keep children from wandering about and getting into scrapes/falling down stairs/ going outside un-noticed.
Then there are such things as closing ovens and fridges to keep children from getting burned, shutting themselves in, pulling everything out.....eating the wrong things.
As your child gets older, there will be the usual school influences, where your child will go around the house telling you all how unecological you are :P
It sounds like she is managing very well so far and Rome wasn't built in a day.0
