The box was damaged.. But I had no choice to accept as the supplier had none left.. Buts it's the fact the driver forged my signature...

You say in your OP that there has still been no satisfactory outcome, but you have not said what outcome you want.

I would suggest that if the toy works and your son is happy, you accept the box is damaged and move on as 2 months over a damaged box is a bit over the top.

Did the driver actually forge your signature or write your name? Again you might have had something to worry about had your signature been forged and you didn't get your package, but you did.

Maybe if you ask nicely, someone from parcel force will come round and get you to sign their little pad as you seem to be annoyed you didn't get to.

Move on, forget about the box and enjoy playing with the toy with your son.
  • BoP now Reads aloud for the disheartened amongst us.

OP ordered big toy parcel afore the last Christmas. It was delivered whilst mummy bear was snoozing in bed on a Saturday morning, after a very hard week in the run up to the festival. It is understood that a delivery agent intercepted a very excited sprog, as sprog knew that big toy was coming. In a rush, delivery agent got sprog to somehow sign for parcel.

In a rush, sprog ripped open parcel, to gain access to toy and the band played on.

Mummy bear, not easily pleased, rushed downstairs, astonished, that sprog's toy had been opened in what looked like a gorilla and a lion had a lover tiff. Immediately mummy bear rang delivery agent, and delivery agent was given their P45.

Sprog has continued to use toy since delivery and is most happy.

    Mummy bear wants compensation.

I'm confused, what losses have you actually incurred?
Be polite now to mummy bear, children are involved.

It appears I'm not the only disgusted with parcel force..
I had a parcel delivered on the 28 th of November.
While I was upstairs parcel force delivered a parcel to my ten year old son by the time I came down stairs parcel force had gone.
The parcel was damaged so tried phoning the the supplier but as it was a Saturday they were shut. So I went on the parcel force website to see what they could do.
Only to find it was a sign for parcel and the driver had forged my signature.
Tried ringing the Lincoln branch only to find it was shut. So had to wait while Monday.
Spoke to the shift manager saying he would look into, thinking it's all computerised now day this shouldn't take long.
He said speak to the supplier and they would compensate them.
Do I phoned the supplier only to find out they had no more stock and they had tried their suppliers but they had none.
It was my sons main Christmas present a James Bond scaletrix so it was bad enough that he would notice but I had no other option than to accept the damage one.
I phoned many times to get details of what was going on but the customer service at parcel force is shocking to say the least, promising to phone back but don't, weeks and week go by getting little or no communications.
The shift manger said there's nothing else he can do as the driver was an agency so won't be using him again , but he would look into a gesture of goodwill but had to go to mangers above him. They weren't interested.
This whole sorry episode has taken two months with no satisfactory outcome.
    What else can I do

The OP hasn't made it clear there IS any damage to the item yet, simply the packaging.

Yes your right. I saw the packaging was damaged and wrongly assumed the item was damaged but wasn't the case.

Don't understand what all the fuss is about?. Parcel handed over to the child while the parent was in the house, box damaged but the toy intact... Forged signature, mines most probably been forged many times by couriers as they always leave my parcels in an outside cupboard... even when I'm in....I just thankful I've received them and they've not fallen into the mysterious abyss like some people's.
  • Yes package was damaged, couldn't get it replaced as no one else had a replacement. But forged a signature I carnt believe they can get away with it..

was the actual ITEM damaged or just the box?

A forged signature against a package you had not received would be something to complain about, but this is not something 99.99% of the population would be bothered about for more than 10 minutes, yet here you are still fretting about it months later.

Nearly every Amazon parcel I have ever received states on their "tracker" that the parcel was received by myself, yet I've yet to be in at the time of receipt. It's always someone other than me who "signs" for it.This is not something I lose sleep over because I realise the time constraints these drivers are put under.

If your item had been lost or damaged beyond repair I could understand some of your attitude to this. However, since it was simply a box which is now presumably in the recycle bin I really have no sympathy at all.

You certainly don't deserve any monetary compensation.

Troll? Can't believe any normal person would waste 2 months of their life on this nonsense.
