That's real enough. You need to follow the instructions on the letter and ensure, as a priority, you acknowledge service of the claim, this will provide a further 14 days over and above the standard 14 days to file your outline defence. Do not fail to acknowledge service, otherwise you lose automatically and a CCJ will be awarded against you by default.

You should scratch out the County Court claim number from the photo you've uploaded as it identifies you to the PPC.

I have gone online now and have filled out the Acknowledge service of the claim. It said it was confirmed etc. Im moving on to sending Part 18 now.

When you say scratch out the CC claim number will they identify me from here???

How many days does it say in the basic particulars, until they serve you with 'detailed particulars'?
It says " I will provide the defendant with separate detailed particulars within 14 days after service of the claim form"

Many PPCs monitor this and other similar forums (some even employ drones to do just that). It's always best to stay as anonymous as possible, then there's no inadvertent slip ups ..... for the sake of scratching out a few digits!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

There is an example in the BMPA links already given in Garasantinos' thread and the BMPA example and advice show it goes to the claimant.

Submitting my acknowledge thingy gives 28 days correct?

28 days from the start of the claim, not 28 days from when you acknowlege, in other words it adds 14 days onto the deadline

As Redx says. NO. Not 28 days from now. As long as you leave the defence box completely blank (not a word in it) this merely extends the 14 days you had, for a further 14.

Surely you have now found plenty of basic appeal summary 'bullet point/short paragraphs' examples to crib from? Loads of defences to search for on here, loads on pepipoo, and advice on the BMPA website and the Parking Prankster blogs too.

Post here what you intend to use and we'll add more if we think you've missed anything crucial.

Iam using this below for my part 18. Could someone tell me what goes in the parts I left the XXXXX with please.

N THE XXXXXXXXX COUNTY COURT CLAIM NO:
    BETWEEN:
    XXXXXXXXXX
    and XXXXXXXXXXX
    Claimant
    Defendant
    _________________________ _________________________ ___________________ PART 18 REQUEST FOR FURTHER INFORMATION
    _________________________ _________________________ ___________________
[Note: “A Request should be concise and strictly confined to matters which are reasonably necessary and proportionate to enable the first party to prepare his own case or to understand the case he has to meet”]
To XXXX please answer the following questions:
    1. What is the basis of the claim. Is UKPC making a claim as an agent of the landowner or is UKPC making the claim as occupier in their own right?
    2. Is the amount claimed by UKPC for a genuine pre estimate of loss for a breach of contract or a contractual sum?
    3. If the contract has been conveyed by the use of signage on site, please provide copies of the signs on which you rely and confirm these are the signs in situ on the date of the event. Please also provide the date these signs were installed, for example, a works schedule, maintenance record or invoice for the work.
    4. Were there signs at the entrance to the site on the date in question? Did these meet the British Parking Association's Code of Practice Appendix B (Entrance signs) or the Independent Parking Committee’s Schedule 1 (Please indicate)
TAKE NOTICE THAT YOU ARE REQUIRED TO ANSWER THE ABOVE REQUEST WITHIN 14 DAYS OF SERVICE OF THE SAME UPON YOU.
I also require that answers to these questions be verified by a Statement of Truth by an authorised signatory of XXXXXXX

Your local court of course. And the claimant is them and the defendant is you.

Wow, you need to get wise. This doesn't bode well if you can't understand basic paperwork. Sorry...

...and this (below) is obviously a NOTE from the BMPA to help you understand what to ask, so remove it, of course, surely it's clear you wouldn't leave that here:
