UKCPS advice needed
Comments
-
I can see from your first post that you have read some other UKCPS threads. Hope they were recent?
Make sure you read the UKCPS 'Miah solicitors' threads around at the moment as well, to see what others are advised. No links, search 'UKCPS Miah' and you will find them and then you will know the letters that will arrive later on.
I'm concerned how many newbies appear to isolate themselves on their own thread as if it's the only place for answers and miss the 90% more answers on other threads which show you what happens next.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks, I did have a good look at the other ukcps threads but couldn't find one that covered the leaving the site problem. They haven't threatened me with any court stuff yet and hopefully won't given that they have absolutely no evidence so far, if at all but was keen to know what they could try.
It's really bafflingy to me that they think I'd pay them £125 with no reason and no evidence from them, they'd be better off begging me for the money without this performance. I winder how many customers they actually deter from using the car park and actually buying stuff from the shops this way, I'm less likely to shop around there now that there might be some creepy imbecile watching my car now trying to scam me.0 -
Too right - but use that anger to try to get the Store Managers to cancel the PCN. Far easier than worrying about being sued for 6 years.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi, i know the information on this must be on the boards somewhere but i cant find a situation thats similar enough to my one.
they've posted me a printed out photo of a ticket that was issued on my windscreen for allegedly leaving the site. it was a huge surprise because i never saw a ticket and certainly would never have removed one so i was very surprised to see a photo of it.
Obviously I'm not going to phone up UKCPS as they dodge questions and become very upset if they feel they're being put on the spot. As they still haven't provided evidence that I actually left the site, is it safe to say that they can't do anything?
Very surprised to see the photo that I had been given a ticket as I never saw one and it does at least support they're claim that i ignored the ticket, etc .
Funny thing is is that before i knew all about UKCPS, i may have actually paid up and maybe taken their word for it but they were so dodgy on the phone that i feel they now need to prove their claim (as they've indicated how dishonest they can be)0 -
mmm , no it doesnt , it proves that "the driver" ignored the ticket, not the KEEPER
remember, you dont reveal who was driving if you want to hide behind POFA2012
this type of "missing ticket" is known as ghost ticketing, they put one on the car, take photos and then remove it, so the driver hasnt a clue it has happened
or maybe mr invisible or Barry "THE FLASH" speedster removed it ? lol , who knows ?
the fact remains they would find it difficult to try a court case on "leaving the site" , because they would have to prove it, prove the driver knew not to do so and be asked why their employee did not mitigate the loss by warning the people in the car that leaving the site would cause a ticket to be issued

If you want to find threads about a UKCPS ticket which alleges the driver left the site, search this parking forum for the obvious keywords: 'UKCPS left site'.
Loads and loads and loads exactly the same.

Thanks that makes so much more sense. He couldn't have asked me not to leave the site anyway as I never actually did. It's such a blatant scam, I'm not using that retail, park again as I can go in to a store and they can just pull this trick when I'm away, and that seems to be exactly what theyve done, either that or I'm suffering from complete memory loss for that day. Do you think I should ask them if they have any evidence of me leaving the site then? Or just ignore them until/if they start making court threats again?
Bit creeped out that they have my postal address, I know they're just scam artists in the end but I've never spoken to such shifty pondscum before in my life and would rather have zero association with them0 -

Please write to the store(s) and tell them the story of this. Then tell them exactly why you'll never put a foot over their doorstep ever again. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Hi I've have 3 parking fines from UKCPS on private land an no yellow sticker on the window but have had them through the post, came onto your website an was told to ignore them, but now we have had a solistor letter sayin if we don't pay within 14 days we will have to pay court costs. I would be grateful of any help regarding this matter!!0

It will not go to court as, if it did, you could force the Parking Weasel to attend, and ask him/her what steps were taken to mitigate the PPCs lossesYou never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
