The breakfast was one of the only things I liked from there. All the other ones came with cheese on them, which was like rubber.

I used to order an extra hash brown, throw the cardboard muffin away, as it always gave me hiccups. The sausage patty always tasted better too.

Now ( if I have one,) I will have to wait, whilst they cook me a sausage muffin without cheese, instead of just driving through. The scrambled egg was nicer than the fried/poached egg too. They are doing an all day Brekkie in the USA though, so they may be looking at it for over here.

I hate the taste of Subways breakfast offering.

Just for the record, I'm not a child, not overweight, and for many years have eaten a big breakfast after my long Sunday morning walks.


All I can say is RIP the big breakfast. Having had the news broken unapologetically by someone who then served me with the worlds worst chewy bagel smothered in yellow glue that they called cheese, I'm not impressed.


I had been a customer for some 16 years, but it seems no longer.

It annoys me they've removed the item but it annoys me more that they've used the "better for the customer" excuse.

Changes to the Breakfast Menu

The 3rd February sees a number of promotional and permanent changes to our breakfast menu. You can check out the crew poster for more information and read our useful FAQs below to help you answer some questions our customers may have about the removal of Big Breakfast from our menu.

Big Breakfast no longer on the menu

The Big Breakfast has been on our menu for a very long time (Since 1983!) and we know you may have regular customers who will be really disappointed to hear its being removed.

We’re sad to see the Big Breakfast go too, but we’re always reviewing our menu to make it even better for our customers. This means that sometimes menu items are removed to allow for new, exciting items to be added.

Answering questions from your customers

We’ve included some examples of questions you might be asked below. Take a look at these to give you an idea of how you could respond:

Q. What if a customer asks why the Big Breakfast is no longer available?
A. “We’ve recently made some changes to our breakfast menu and as part of this, the Big Breakfast is being removed. We’re really sad to see the Big Breakfast go and can appreciate you’re disappointed too. I will make sure to pass on your feedback.”

Q. What if a customer asks why the lid still says Big Breakfast on it if they cannot buy it?
A. “I can see your point and agree that this is confusing. Just to let you know, we will be updating our packaging soon and as part of this we will remove the reference to Big Breakfast.”

Q. What if a customer asks if we are offering anything in place of the Big Breakfast?
A. “There is not a direct replacement for the Big Breakfast and I am really sorry for any disappointment this causes. There are a number of options on the menu from porridge through to Sausage and Egg Meal, which includes sausage, a muffin, egg and a hash brown. Do you want to try this today?”

Over the next few weeks, start to let those customers that order a Big Breakfast know that it will be removed from our menu on 3rd February. As always, continue to be sympathetic, sensitive and patient when dealing with any disappointed customers and speak to your Manager if you need any help. However, If you’re faced with a particularly difficult customer situation which cannot be resolved in the restaurant, please refer the customer to our Customer Services team (03705 244 622) who are more than willing to help.

I heard they recently had to widen the doors to all McDonalds places so that their customers could fit their lardy a***s through it.
