Went to weigh in and I have lost half a pound!!! Looking up a slimming recipe for chicken supreme as I want to make that for tomorrows lunch as family are coming over to clear the garage for me.
It looks as if I might be moved in a fortnight. I still have not got firm confirmation yet so can't get that much done.
It is pouring with rain here so looks as if the bedding will be dried on airers or the pulley. Middle dd is staying over tonight and spending the day with friends etc.
The people I phoned when the fence blew down were going to fix it on Monday but had a cancellation so got it done yesterday which is a relief.

So sorry about pennychick but you gave her a happy long life.

Morning, sorry about your little hen tru.
Up and doing from 3.17 precisely, I think from now on people can just assume that I have had a poor sleep unless I say otherwise.
Daftly put the washing on, thinking that the light drizzle might stop, well yes it did and was replaced by driving rain. So that needs to be draped about. Come on spring, hurry please.
OH will shop today and he cooks on Saturdays so an easy day for me. May have a nap as I feel drifty.
Hope everyone has a good day and not damp.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Elona, it seems to be happening so quickly now.
Are you looking forward to moving, I am sure you will have very mixed emotions. Once you are installed will you have to decorate, or will you be able to live with it for a while? It will be a blessing that you have the girls and SIL to help.
It is an exciting time for you and I hope you will be really happy in your new home
Much love

The chalet bit upstairs has modern looking bedrooms and a bathroom so not that much to do except fit an above bath shower and maybe buy another bed in the sales.
Downstairs has a bedroom that was turned into a staircase that I can shut the door on and treat the ground floor as traditional bungalow. The kitchen needs to be turned into a kitchen diner eventually as it is small with dated cabinets, but I can live with the bathroom for a while before thinking of changing things. Several rooms have wallpaper a la 1982 and vivid floral swirly carpets so wallpaper stripping and painting walls neutral light colours will be high on the agenda as will new carpets once the messy work has been done.
I feel I will probably miss the large rooms and garden but it is far to much for me to manage and the new place will be two council bands cheaper, has a water meter and a multi fuel stove in the living room and should be much cheaper and easier to heat, insure with lower bills in general. Middle dd insists that we will soon have it glamorous and lovely for me which is sweet.
Sorry about the essay!"This site is addictive!"

Elona that sounds really good. So probably an elderly person lived there then with regard to the wallpaper and swirly carpets.
I think it is wise to think of the bills as well. No doubt your DDs will have you sorted in no time at all, and it is probably exciting for them to help set you up in a new home. The multi fuel stove should keep you nice and cosy, and of course as we get older we want less work not more.
Take care

ps SISTERCAS I too was tempted by Mary Berry's Tortilla and intend to try it some time! It looked delicious!
I'll let you know what it's like xxcandlelight_2013 wrote: »Good morning
Sistercas well done on your new job as well, you sound as though you will be thankful to leave your other job. Stress in the workplace is a dreadful thing, I remember it so well.
DGD1 had her first business meeting yesterday since her promotion and evidently it went very well, we are so proud of her.

FurryBeastOz wrote: »Oooh. Which Waitrose Ger? I'll be at mine (Milngavie) this morning as well. A free tea after I've been to the gym, and its obligatory that I check out the YS section. Some really good deals normally:D
Milngavie one too! The Byres Road one is much closer but the car park is horrible to get round so, since the new one opened I've got mum to use it.
Had to go twice because I bought the wrong bread. Mum likes to bring home the free coffee so I took a little travel mug with me, she normally just wraps the cardboard cup up and put it in a rucksack  Think she'll use the travel mug now.
After that did a little historical architectural tour of old / neglected buildings and hidden bits of Glasgow. I thoroughly enjoyed it before the rain started and I have loads more to visit next time. Much better than trawling round the shops.
Teatime soon, only had breakfast today and, although I am in no danger of fading away, I hungry.0 -
Really pleased, got microwave. It was last one. Have done checking and it's identical to a well know one that sounds like mussel robbs (my last one was this make) and was half the price and according to paperwork has 3 year guarantee Thoughts to all. Mrs D.

Sorry to hear that youve 'lost' Penny Chick Tru. Take comfort in knowing she had a wonderful life with you.Morning all. Bah another bad night for me. The all too familiar pains were giving me grief so it looks like the one a day anti b's are not helping and I shall put myself back up to 3 a day. Plus worrying about Mr TA's second bout of treatment isn't helping even though, this time, we do know what to expect. Sorry for the moan!
Sorry to hear of your flare up TA. I hope your not feeling too bad. I thought i was heading towards one in the week but i realized i hadnt been drinking enough (again) and was able to avert it. The tell tale signs disappeared thankfully.
Well done on the weight loss Elona and good news about the move. It will be good to get that out of the way.
Had a busy day shopping. Hubby has been in a pleasant enough mood all day which makes a change. He usually comes home and takes his misery out on me but i told him last week not to bother coming home if he wasnt going to be pleasant. I'm beginning to open my mouth more and although he might not like it. Its making me feel a whole lot better in myself.
I'm waiting for Youngest to get back. As the men will be working away next week i said i'd do them some pancakes for tea. The batter is resting and when he comes back i'll be good to go. No rush though. I'm not really hungry and hubby is fast asleep.
