Barclaycard cancelling all Mastercards and transferring to Visa

Yes thats meI found out long ago that buying Petrol/Diesel in more than one EU country can be impossible with Visa and got a MasterCard.
So I was miffed t get this notification from Barclaycard and actually called them today. I said to a very pleasant gent (by name from Spain or Mexico) and explained that I didn't want another Visa card and needed the MasterCard but while he understood and accepted what I said was correct its not going to change. Likewise it looks like i will have two Visas one a Platinum... which one could be interesting!
Any advice who to get my MasterCard from? We pay on the nail every month and use the MasterCard for Travel and one other specific purpose.
