Thank you for this, no I didn't realise it was the current craze - you would think I would know this sort of thing with 5 young adults ...

No, there is no budget as such but Thomas Pink is a bit OTT

Eldest child has a big birthday surprise planned so a tie, however quirky and beautiful will get over looked. So the budget is whatever is a sensible price.

I'm sure as a city girl your DD would spend more than you will :p but there again she wouldn't have drafted you in if she didn't trust your money saving instincts :D She may not have considered your nerves though :rotfl::rotfl:

(i know you love it really.)

Not often you get a Mummy's girl but she seems to have turned to you for everything recently. That's really nice. Puff that chest out girl :D but do make sure you have a decent bra on first :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: *HINT* it's on a different radiator to your OH smalls :p :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • All caught up! Another day of two work places again tomorrow (well today technically), then a day off. Can't wait to turn my phone off and sleeeeeeeep on Monday :D

Ellie14 forgive me for being so late to catch up. Do you want to come with me and BQ to Di's fundraiser? if so you are very welcome and I'm happy to pick you up on the way. You can PM if you like. About time we met anyway :p Suigs you know you are welcome too....and anyone else. I've got lots of seats :rotfl:

I'd just like to say that Di and Logie are about the only people who understand exactly what I've been going through and they have both been AMAZING! That doesn't mean I'm not grateful for all the other support I've recieved....I really honestly am. We go on about support a lot on here. It's time to put our money where our mouths are.

On that note.....can we please get our Di to her target? She's not far away and I know it would mean the world to her. So a little push please. We are the elite after all

Elite shopping experts I need your advice please ASAP

I am looking at silk ties that would go nicely with a navy suit and a white (or pink ) shirt.

The tie needs to have a very tiny animal design in it - the sort of design that is so tiny you don't realise what it is unless you are up close.

Pigs have been suggested - possibly too obvious.
Or pheasants - I think these would be really lovely if I could find pheasants.

I've been sent a link with little tiny turtles - John Lewis £25 - no I have not taken leave of my senses - its eldest child's BF birthday and I've just asked her what he really fancies.

So that is this weeks assignment. The birthday is the 7th so I need to get cracking. If I decide to go with the JL option I can collect from Birmingham and I think I have to go there this week for something else if I can figure our what day ...

One or two here, but a bit expensive

    Another one

    Maybe one with partridges

I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)

I hadn't realised that there are such lovely ties available these days. It must be years since I had to buy anyone a tie!

I love so many of the ones on this website, all of which are £27.50.:)
