There are also some 2-£6 Duracell but no decent comps.

It was easy when I had my dog, off we'd go down the farm & across the fields ....
Now not so easy but there is a Garden Centre 200 yds away, how many excuses can I make for going there? :rotfl:
Card for new baby, cardboard for sign, wireless door bell, look at the fishes, fresh eggs, expensive Lindt chocolate, a shrub maybe?

much as you love him it can be very boring looking after someone who is poorly, and very frustrating when things don't go to plan, ie carers are late and you are just sitting about waiting.
Try & get a little me time factored into the day, announce it is time for your little walk, or a breath of fresh air. Say you will be back in an hour or whatever, and if you can fit your longed for smoke into that time all well & good. Just take a fresh jumper with you to change into and nobody will be any the wiser!
I really do wish you well, it is not an easy situation to be in, you can only do your best, and DONT ever feel guilty.
BTW McMillan nurses are very good at giving you a little break, they would sit with Dad while you have a bit of time off (they do more than nurse the terminally ill)
Right that's my homily for the day. xxessex girl in exile0 -

Snap sending you a hug. And bubbs. And in fact anyone else who wants one.
Had a great night last night. Went out to a comedy night at the bar at work, then ended up going into town and boogying the night away before DS picked me up just before midnight (didn't want to leave but he had work this morning and I felt guilty). Drank lots of wine.
Can't remember the last time I did anything like that, will all my health issues it's literally been years. Felt great to be out having fun, doing something normal, and not being in pain or desperate for the loo all the time.
Looking forward to being able to do more stuff like this in the future. Got lots of catching up to do!
And once again, I want to say thank you to all you lovely eliters. I've been through some pretty traumatic stuff and people on here have just been so lovely, you don't know how much you've all helped me. :A0 -

Elite shopping experts I need your advice please ASAP
I am looking at silk ties that would go nicely with a navy suit and a white (or pink ) shirt.
The tie needs to have a very tiny animal design in it - the sort of design that is so tiny you don't realise what it is unless you are up close.
Pigs have been suggested - possibly too obvious.
Or pheasants - I think these would be really lovely if I could find pheasants.
I've been sent a link with little tiny turtles - John Lewis £25 - no I have not taken leave of my senses - its eldest child's BF birthday and I've just asked her what he really fancies.
So that is this weeks assignment. The birthday is the 7th so I need to get cracking. If I decide to go with the JL option I can collect from Birmingham and I think I have to go there this week for something else if I can figure our what day ...I hadn't realised that there are such lovely ties available these days. It must be years since I had to buy anyone a tie!
I love so many of the ones on this website, all of which are £27.50.:)

:T:T I found these too - loving the William Morris ones
The bees are my favourite
