I bought a new Acer computer this week and am a bit puzzled ! I installed Google and have been using it for a few days - but today it's suddenly change to Bing. When I click on the Google icon on my desktop it brings up a strange Bing page and I can't get back to the Google homepage. I haven't changed anything, it's just done it itself. Any possible explanations as to what Bing is would be appreciated .

Also, the date and time keeps changing - I reset it to today's date this morning and tonight it reckons it's 1 March !

Mine (also an Acer) defaults to Bing every single time I go on the net, it's a blank page apart from the Bing search engine query box, so I just open a new tab which opens up straight on my Firefox page.

No probs with date or time though.

It's something to do with setting Firefox as your primary search engine.

Bing tends to come automatically when you have downloaded something and at the bottom there would have been a box saying install bing at the same time which will have been pre ticked
