£4.96 earned from TSB for cashback on contactless payments- that's gone across as an OP this evening.

Spendy day today as I had the brace fitted on my top teeth- no issue getting it on, it was uncomfortable with the mouth stretcher and application, however this evening has been pretty painful so instant mash & gravy eaten with a spoon for dinner!

Orthodontist gave me the crushing blow that I can't eat curry with these braces as they Are white they will stain awfully and she suggested cutting down on coffee. On coffee!!!! :o

No more earned on prolific as was out at meetings yesterday and today went out at lunch for the afternoon for teeth. Will try on lunch tomorrow.

With Swagbucks make sure you sign up to the Swagbucks codes thread in the Boost you income forum - you'll get an alert every time there's code - often one about 6pm each day but sometimes they have special days (the pun they use to name them escapes me!) when they have lots, and it can really add up then.

I don't know how people get as much as they say the do from there - all the switching apps for TV stuff is beyond me, but a £5 every couple of months is fine as far as I'm concerned - I work my through the checklist on the left-hand side, skipping the bits that don't work for me (Discover - I don't want to sign up to stuff) or aren't available - a decent survey! If you meet your daily target (top of the screen; for me usually only when I've found a survey), at the end of the month they'll send you an email reminding you to collect your bonus - this can add up if you've hit the target a few times in a month.

Not good news about curry and coffee.... but short-term pain for long-term gain as they say!

    Hi Kitten

I had braces in my 40's and they do stain terribly with curry or anything with turmeric in it. So easy to forget when you first get them. They do become more comfortable as time goes on.

  • Thanks a Fortune; its been pretty painful today so started the day with a protein shake (fuel chocolate and tasted pretty good), tomatoe soup for lunch & tiny pasta in a cheese sauce so I could just suck down the pasta.

Only two coffees today: one during a meeting with my boss and one before bed (brishedbraces straight after). We went for a bit of a shop for soft stuffs: bought some instant smash, angel delight & rice pudding to tide me over for a few days.

Thanks for the swagbucks info TheMadVix; I'm only at 152 points so think it'll take a while. I've also cashed out on prolific at £19.61 so will see that for a mortgage OP in a few days. The onepoll £40 hasn't yet cleared though booooo!

  • Oh I remember the pain well! My eldest dd had them fitted 2 weeks ago too! Hope it all settles soon and you start to feel more like you again xxxxxx

  • Hi all,
The braces are settling but I still can't bite down or chew at the moment.
It's gf's dads 70th today so we've been out to get his helium balloons and banners and also collected the cake after the gym.

On the gym front I've managed 4 workouts this week so getting there with being more consistent- it includes two 6am workouts before work too so I'm feeling virtuous :D

Prolific money cleared last night so after the withdrawal fee £18.85 was overpaid :D hurrah! No sign of the onepoll funds just yet.
Listed some Fortnum & Mason tea canisters (with tea in) on fb selling and also on eBay yesterday. Have a pile of other stuff to list which I'm hoping to pop on tomorrow. Checking through my accounts app we have made more than £350 through Ebaying/carbooting/gumtree/fb selling which I'm pretty surprised at how it's all mounted up.

Off out for dinner tonight (hence the balloons, cake etc) which has been budgeted for and looking forward to it. I've planned ahead with the eating and am thinking of asking for a (thicker than normal) naan/paratha with Dhal Makhani which I love :D this should also be okay for eating with a spoon and making the bread soft enough to just swallow :P

Overpayments for September are at £180.48 so far, just off to update banking apps and check the balance to see if there's a little Tilly Tidy to be done- fingers crossed!

    Enjoy your Saturdays everyone x

  • Hey Kittenkirst

Glad to hear the braces are settling. I'm sure the pain and discomfort will be worth it in the long run.

Forgot to ask the other day, how are you getting on with matched betting? Is it worth a try?

Hi Jodles! Nice to see you :) the boys are definitely growing: now they are almost 10 months old and right little monkeys! Love them so much :heartpuls:

Michael I've not yet taken the plunge with the matched betting: I've been reading loads about it but still finding it rather perplexing. A friend recommended setting up a separate current account for it to ensure the pot of money is kept separate :)

49p OP as a tilly tidy yesterday woop
