  • Hmmm so a good colleague (& friend) is off unwell for the froseeable so I've been asked to pick up their team and work, and to only work on business critical pieces of my work. I've agreed (shows the right flexibility and support for the wider team) but this means work will get more hectic.
Will do my best but will be making sure I contact my manager more and ensure he's giving me the right level of support rather than just cracking on as I usually do!

Finally hit payout on Onepoll and requested my £40...it says will take up to 28 days to clear though booooo!

Prolifics up to £11 with a few more £'s pending- aiming to earn £2 per day on my lunch breaks to really bolster this for the end of the year :D

A Hard Rock Cafe pin on eBay sold last night so I've dutily OP'd that, will post this evening; £11.20 more for the OP pot.

It's payday today so money shuffling all done so have made the monthly OP early (mortgage goes out on 20th so I used to send the same day, but now I send it on payday as it's 5 days of less interest!) so £109.80 also sent over.

Making september so far: £132.24 so not too shabby at all considering when we started I wanted £75 a month! :D

Food shop tonight so we're doin a bit of meal planning and making a proper list so don't get caught out- the good thing about the additional work is that it means more supplier visits and this one does lunches- free lunch :D (take the positives where I can!)

  • Big grocery shop done last night to the princely time of £22.42; two boxes worth in always so impressed with how cheap Lidl really is :Dv

  • Good gym workout this morning so I'm feeling all virtuous today!

Friend is having some relationship troubles so she came over and then stayed for dinner- we made a homemade healthy Nando's- grilled Nando's chicken, homemade coleslaw, spicy sweet corn & oven cooked fries. Yummy!

Oddly we found out her hubs collects something we are selling on eBay so she bought two from us :D sold them to her just for the price we paid as it declutters them from our house :) £19.51 OP'd to the mortgage and an additional £2.5 saved on postage too.

Total is now at £154.35 which is looking very healthy.

Mum & dad over tomorrow so making two veg lasagnes: one to share tomorrow with a garlic bread, and another to portion for the freezer as I start back at silver classes this Tuesday so good to have homemade freezer food.

Now all tucked up watching house of cards on Netflix with a kitten each snuggled on our chests :) perfect!

  • Morning KK

Glad the work situation sorted itself out, but sorry to hear that your manager is still being a d***!

We've given up on Aldi now. I found it a bit frustrating not being able to get everything I want, so now we are back to being Asda shoppers and managing to get everything under one roof. On the upside we've been checking receipts and printing off the price guarantee vouchers so it's probably working out roughly the same.

Must say veg lasagna sounds delicious :)
    Starting Balance August 2016: £170,199.00 | Remortgaged August 2018: £212,000.00
    Current Balance (15th February 2019): £209,278.85
Target: Balance below £170,000.00 by August 2023 :)
  • The veg lasagne is all done but we suffered with the issue of making too much like normal. The plan was to make two trays; one normal for me, one spicier for gf and parents and then to pop the rest in the freezer.
We've also managed to make an additional spicy one for the freezer big enough for us two to share :D

90p tilly tidied across to the Mortgage this morning and the Sky engineer has been and fixed our Sky Q (been down for ten days!) but means we've lost all of our recorded shows. Bummer.

£14.60 on Prolific with another £6 pending approval. Hoping I can get £25 minimum this month to bolster the OP. Also really hoping the Onepoll £40 clears this month but takes up to 28 days so probably not likely.

Woke up to a fb message offering £5 for the IKEa mirrors listed at £10. I've messaged them back saying I'll take £7.50 so fingers crossed they also go this week.

Aldi does okay for us, but I agree it doesn't always have everything we need so we tend to mix it up between Tesco (there's one in walkable distance), Aldi, Lidl and sainsburys (by work). That way we keep the budget down but get what we need.

I have some nightmare before Christmas baubles to pop onto eBay for Halloween/Christmas so will try and list them tonight as well as finish those baby anklets tonight so they can be posted tomorrow :D

  • Would be ace for you to get to £25 on Prolific by the end of the month. The money from surveying really adds up. I've started a spreadsheet to track it as I'm a bit of a geek like that... also thought it might be useful for others when I report the final OP totals for the month to see where the money has come from :)

Drew has been outside since 9am cleaning both cars bless him, so I better get off the internet and try and make it look like I've been busy doing housework all this time :rotfl:

  • Oh, forgot to say, if you haven't already give SwagBucks a try: http://www.swagbucks.com/p/register?rb=38802866

So far this month Drew has withdrawn £25 and I have withdrawn £15 so it adds up very quickly. Surveys are normally 50-80 SwagBucks per complete and currently 800 SwagBucks is £5 :)
