  • Well done on the fleabay listings! I've got 14 up now, more still to do and there's a bid already on one of them! Impatient to sell the rest!

CathT- I've downloaded and registered with Olio; definitely worth keeping an eye on. Thanks for the suggestion!

MrsPuddleduck- good work on the flea sting; I've now posted 13 today but mostly on 30 day but it now style to try this out.

MichaelDH- I believe the relatives are all ok, I haven't met these ones yet as a)gf's family is huggge (compared to mine anyways) b) we don't think they'd be too welcoming of our relationship as they are very traditional so we've put off dealing with that so far.
For CCTV I can recommend the Nest cameras which are controlled via your phone. We spent ages researching and have found them good for us (as one of us is often away with work we get notifications of movements in other rooms etc)

We made the Mexican chicken tortilla recipe tonight and it was delicious; substituted a few items for what we had in (kidney beans instead of black beans, dried chillis instead of fresh) pretty healthy at 350cals too (based on our swaps!) and there is a portion for lunch tomorrow which is good as I'm in manchester so leaving at 6am!

Will take the soup for lunch and portion up some cereal for the morning to prevent buying whilst there.

On a very random note, I had a facebook message regarding my IKEA mirrors I listed; the photo shows them next to that brand new snowboard and a gent has emailed to find out whether I'm selling it so I've sent him all the details and said price of £150 (assuming he'll haggle- I want £100 for it ideally) so will see if that leads to anything.

Prolific £10 survey has now cleared so sat at £14.85 with another £4 to clear; I'm will wait until it hits £20 to withdraw and OP this monthZ

Great going on eBay. It seems there's a surge of us MFW's getting decluttered and trying to earn some cash.
    MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......

So how did you manage to acquire a brand new snowboard that you don't need?

Hope Ganesh was repairable KK - I have a (probably less precious!) giraffe statue made from wood that frequently loses his ear with cat help!

So sorry to hear about the burglary - hope they catch the blighters!

Well done on the ebay listings and fingers crossed than the snowboard man bites :)

Soooo the snowboard story isn't really that interesting, but many years ago my ex and I were in town and a shop was closing down (2 seasons: ski & surf) they had a 70% off sale and on a whim we splurged. I bought us snowboards each, snowboard jackets, snowboard socks, goggles etc etc. The plan was to then book a snowboarding hol but it didn't happen and we eventually split.

Fast forward to now and I've given away the gloves, socks, goggles etc but still have the jacket and the snowboard. As it's doubtful I will use it I will sell the board but I just hadn't got round to it yet :rotfl:

Ganesh is looking mightily sorry for himself and tonight's task is to have a go with the glue gun (need it fixing before gf's mum comes over!)

One item sold on eBay last night- 99p broken headphones - so the rest has been relisted. The thermostat has another few days as I put it on a ten day listing in error :)

Woke up to a message regarding the IKEA mirrors so hoping the person wants them and that's another £10 for the OP pot :T

Thank's for that. We already have a nest thermostat and think it's brilliant. How many cameras did you go for? And am I right in thinking there's a monthly fee? We ideally want a camera covering the front driver and our french doors on the back. We keep saying we will buy a Patlock for french doors but haven't got around to it yet.
    Starting Balance August 2016: £170,199.00 | Remortgaged August 2018: £212,000.00
    Current Balance (15th February 2019): £209,278.85
Target: Balance below £170,000.00 by August 2023 :)

Yes here is a monthly fee or you can pay annually for a little discount. We have two cameras- one downstairs in front room and one upstairs covering the stairs and rooms.

We're on the free trial for 10 day playback. I believe 24 hr playback is free. We're looking at it being £120 for the year for the two cameras which being two ladies we think is suitable for us (and £5 a month for peace of mind). The alerts are great but we do get them for the kittens every now and then!
