    Car Insurance Carver!
Such a frustrating process, I do hope you find out soon!! Well done on keeping up the steps and I reckon you have to take full advantage of free biccies and drinks! I loved seeing the deposit when we bought our first home, though I felt sick and upset when it was sent over! Silly mind that I have! Made easier second house round as I never saw any of it!haha.

Cant wait to hear how your options go, so excited being part of the design plan for your first home!

On the back of yesterday's fab news I shall continue recording the steps I'm taking to become MFW (once we have it) by being in the best position for point of buying the house:

    So far this week:
All lunches and snacks packed for work
Car shared mon- weds, working from home today and have company car for drive to Manchester tomorrow
No coffees from canteen or Starbucks
    Did free postcode lottery daily
Received Bounts points daily by smashing 7000 steps per day
Utilised free fruit this work to top up snacks instead of buying.
Went on lunch time walks around the industrial site rather than walking to sainsbobs or M&S to curb the urge to spend!

We have the house choices appointment on Sunday lunch where we have to choose whether to have inbuilt appliances etc (at a cost) and then choose the tiling, cupboards doors etc. Have to pay 10% upfront so fingers crossed its not too costly!
    First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!
  • Well done on the savings, I also find just avoiding the shops is the best way to curb spending!

Big congratulations on the mortgage offer :j :j

So far this week has been a bit quiet, however we be been asked to provide even more statements to show funds for the deposit which is a little worrying!

Money saving is going pretty well: stayed in Manchester with work this week and the gf was staying too so we got to go out for a paid for dinner date :D

I'm off to a jewellery making course this weekend (both days!) and am very excited- I got the vouchers to pay for it for xmas and my birthday. Very very excited, however it's a two hour drive each way.

Oooooh forgot to add, took advantage of the site Zeek as it was my turn to top up our Starbucks card....had £5 free for new signing up, and also a lump sum off. £50 Starbucks for £31.

That £50 should last us both for two to three months as we have it less than once a week. It may seem a silly thing to splurge on but it's a treat we both enjoy together so is worth it!

Did another pinecone survey so up to £9 too :D

    Congrats on the offer!

They normally ask for proof of deposit - I think it is probably a formality.

    Enjoy your course.
