Just finally tried matched betting- got the free £20 bet on coral and placed that bet also. However, I think I mixed up my ‘lay bet’ and ‘liability’ stake on the first bet....hoping it’s not too catastrophic! :Z

Who am I to give advice, when the "rare" thing happened to me on my 1st bet, I was allowed to cancel my bet (not from Coral) the other one :o but as I said, who am I to give advice, have another look and read up on it and whatever - Good Luck

Reading your experience (and others!) with the SLC, I'm going to scrutinise my numbers more closely....my SLC numbers are at odds with HMRC's numbers which in turn are at odds with my numbers, it's infuriating! At least we know we're close to being paid up!

DH and I got great satisfaction from taking a couple of years off the mortgage term when we renewed - go for it if you can afford it! :)

Not sure what happened with my first bet but I ended up in profit on both the bookmakers and the betting exchange :D

I’ve been reading up more about it making sure I understand it- next bets come in tonight and Friday night and then I’ll go from there :)

Monthly OP boosted to £189.80 and paid today, and I also sent £130 as an OP as it’s a council tax free month this month.

Making January’s overpayments a whopping £391.44 which is great! 13% of our target for the year already :j :j

Working from home today so used the cross trainer for 30minutes before Work and am in my slouchy clothes now. Made porridge with chopped apples, frozen blackberries and cinnamon. I’ve just made egg fried rice using leftover rice from Saturday night and loads of oddments of veggies (sweetcorn, peas, leek, kale, red pepper)- added a splash of fish sauce and soy sauce. Tasted fab and was low calorie :D

Debating whether to get myself to the gym before yoga tonight but will see how I’m feeling at 4- if I do a legs session my body should have time to recover tomorrow as silver class restarts for the term.

Made it to the gym so had a great day activity wise. Started on the cross trainer this morning for half hour before work, then ran 4km at the gym and did leg weight exercises, then a lovely hour at yoga this evening. 15,000 steps achieved and have just scoffed my dhal and rice.

Popped to Tesco’s and took advantage of the Felix offer they have on shopmium- I have enough referral credits that I should be refunded in full meaning 24 Cat food pouches free. They only have one each a week on the weekend as a treat so it will last ages!

Found light puff pastry reduced to 38p so I’ve opened it, halved it and rolled them back up to pop I the freezer(one sheets always too big and ends up wasted), and got some brown thins for 19p as well. Not too bad!

Now I think it’s time for bed with a nice cuppa and read some more diaries.

Thanks Tryharder, I’m reasonably fit and healthy but carrying a little extra weight which I would like gone (I’m sure I’m in the same boat as many!) :D

Today is a rest day as I go back to college for silversmithing so the body will have a nice rest before getting back to it tomorrow.

Just had my morning play fight with Hugo- I’ve never had a cat that steals your towel- he guards it whilst I shower and we have a little tug of war when I get out- freezing and soaking- for the towel. Strange little boy :D

It’s only been a few days so far but I’ve commenced the trial for matched betting and below is the nitty gritty.

£120 deposited into a separate account for matched betting initially.
£136 balance showing on three sites. I have a free bet of £20 to settle on Saturday, and am awaiting credit of £30 free bets into an account (takes 48hours).

So I’m up by £16 so far, but hoping this increases after Saturday’s game and the free bet has been placed and settled.

I think I’ve got the hang of it now, will see how the week ends before deciding whether to carry on or to call it quits. At the moment I feel quite positive about it, but will see if I’m still in profit at the weekend.

(I’ve been sensible and set up a separate current account and email address to be able to fully check how much I’ve invested/generated and to prevent spam!) :money:

Now that's the sort of trick I would like to learn :), apart from actually understanding it all, maybe I'm looking for the pitfalls too much, and is much simpler than I think.

Just watch out for all the text's you start getting, I've had loads so far.
