The Dell in your original suggestion is an i3 - which clearly stated "No Operating System"
This one is an i7 - considerably different ?

Yes - of course I did and I am happy with the Acer - I have had Acers in the past and they were acceptable in build quality and value !!
Dells on the other hand have been problematical at work for years.

Yeah but it says shipped within 3 days makes me think why ? Have you got any or not ? Or are they going try to source one. call me cynical or if you prefer DCM.....

My Dad ordered an Acer E5-551 (AMD A10 - 8Gb RAM @ £249) [FONT=&quot][/FONT]from Tesco and eventually - he was told that they had ordered one, but it had gone "astray" so he was offered an [FONT=&quot]ASUS X555LA [/FONT] i3/ 4Gb for £189 - which he has now accepted and received - it was still running Win 8.1 - so must have been old stock ?
Now upgraded to Win 10...
It came with the usual batch of free unwanted software - from Wajam through Norton to "Bytefence Anti-Malware" - which he is having problems removing - I told him to run decrapifier - don't know whether that will dispatch this unwanted program ?
I am guessing that they don't actually have any Acer E5-551's !!
