Please help me if you can at all. Im an 18 year old who has just finished a level 3 qualification and I desperately want to go to ACM.
This is not financially possible as I am one of 3 triplets dependant on my parents and there are course fees to pay.
I just really need to know what grants I can apply for to do the course, how much they cover and how I can apply for them.
The reason I want to go to ACM is because music is my life and this would give me the opportunity to do something I love for a living.
Im from a disadvantaged background with a low income, if this is of any help.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post.0 -
Speak to ACM and ask about about scholarships, funding etc as they'll have experience in what what is available.
Also have a look at searchable grant sites. Here's some to get you started.

Any ideas? I have been accepted for EMA next year, but as I am going to a private college (on a bursary etc etc) I will not be able to receive it as the school is not YPLA (Young Persons Learning Agency) funded and I did not realise that YPLA funding was a stipulation until I rang the EMA phoneline last week (about a different issue) because it was never mentioned in the application process. Obviously, missing out on £30 a week is not good! Does anyone know of any different schemes that might apply to me? Thank you0

depends on what college course it is. I think (but don't quote me) you can get funding upto the next level. if you've been on benefits at all they can give you some money to help pay for your course. Depending how old the son is (i'm guessing in nursery) theres grants to help with child care costs, which you can claim more back for it. You might be able to get child tax credit to help pay for things, and if your studying for a degree if its the same as when i started you can get a grant every year for being a 'mature student' (anyone over 25 basically it was). http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/EducationAndLearning/UniversityAndHigherEducation/StudentFinance/Applyingforthefirsttime/index.htm
