Could be very easy to overspend in May but have to save the extras for Car insurance due in June so need to make sure we stick to budget. Can get the boys hair cuts though, they look a mess at the moment.
Sorting out sons birthday as well but that is all saved for so nice to do a little shopping and know its budgeted for.

OH was paid £130 more than expected, not sure if its a pay rise or what he didn't pick up his payslip. Fingers crossed a pay rise. Wouldn't be so much usually but april was 5 weeks. Either that or I have underestimated how much he gets on a 5 week month but yay for some breathing space. This month really is going to go well.

It's a £5 a night pay rise, not loads but over the month it adds up obviously. This will make things easier x

Always something, car battery has gone. But at least the pay rise means we can afford a new one. Hubby said it isn't what he wanted to spend the money on, well me either but at least we had the money there. We seem to just scrap by. Couldn't manage where we live without a car. This is why some savings is important even when you are repaying debts.

You are so right, savings are critical so you don't have to use credit cards. It's lean right now but you guys are doing so well. When that car gets paid off and you can begin the overpayments it will feel so good. Excellent job!:T:T

Well this month has gone quite smoothly. Last payment for the car has come out. Car insurance bought just £10 over my budgeted amount, insurance has really gone up this year, may have to budget a little more for next years just incase.

We have nearly £200 left but I am not paying extra off anything, putting it towards tickets to visit my dad in the summer holidays instead.

OH Santander 0% deal runs out end of September so I really need to get the Barclaycard cleared and hopefully he can do a balance transfer onto it then. Should be doable using what was the car payment.
