Thursday 4th Feb - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:money:

:cool2: get dh up, out and doing something
    :cool2: get dd to cheerleading
    :cool2: make time to relax
:cool2: do one thing from annoying list
:cool2: get one of the kids to hoover

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning Cat

Your on the ball today :)

I had one of those dream nights where you go to sleep and actually sleep. Deeply. For 5.5 blessed hours. Probably the longest stretch I can remember in months. I think now my tum is back to the right size again and has zero pain I can get comfortable which is a plus and then no need for night meds plus being exhausted must have tipped the balance!
I was doing some reading around on Morphine and I feel I was not explained to properly on its workings. If any of you ever have to take it for an operation for goodness sake do not even if you are starving try to eat a meal in the proper sense for a few days. That's where I went wrong. The stuff basically is so hideously hard on your body that it's like a wall in your tummy. Trying to commence normal eating is madness. No one told me. That's why I had the sickness as I was eating but nothing was moving downwards properly.
Yesterday I managed 2 bananas, a pack of 2 biscuits, half a tiny carrot soup no bread and a munch on a disgustingly stale sandwich and that has been fine. Will aim for same today. Sometimes you just think why does no one give the whole picture? But I can't fault the staff looking after me . In the main they have been simply wonderful both doctors, nurses and all the unsung hero's. The tea lady. Cleaners. Etc

It's so nice to feel well again. I am going to ask to go home today when they do the rounds. There are people in much more need of a bed.

Financial benefits continue to be NSDS 5 already this week.

    Have a good day all.

    Bob

  • aw glad to hear you're on the mend Bob x I few years ago I was admitted to hospital and was given morphine and it was hideous, I was being sick and just felt retchid. After 1 shot of it even though I was in serious pain I didn't take anymore and was given codeine instead.
