Guys, atleast ask yourselves what hardware my other thread was about before jumping on the silly bandwagon?

    I have a desktop aswell.

The SSD is in my desktop.

My other thread was to see if I can move the SSD from my desktop straight into my laptop. But people pointed that might not be the best.

So instead, I want to make a clone and use the clone to test if it will work or not!

I have that many SSD's because I had a plan with my desktop but now plans have changed. I got them v cheap aswell.

Thanks for all your responses and I will press Thanks shortly.

yes , google the question then d/load one of the many disk cloning proggys that are FREE OF CHARGE

I suggest http://www.partitionwizard.com/ and to clone the WHOLE drive , not just a partition

others will suggest there favourites no doubt , but this one is proven to work

The portion that confused me is that, where do I put this clone? I will need all the space right? or do I hook up my SSD to my PC as a secondary drive?

Another options is to get an IcyBox. I have one - it involves taking your physical drives out and plugging them in, but it clones at the touch of a button - no PC required. You can plug the device in to read from the discs too if you want.

does it do SSD? any recommendations?

open partition wizard , go to wizard , and the first dropdown is migrate to ssd/hd wizard , secect sorce and destination , the machine will reboot and finish , (and restart) , job done , 5 min max

when you reboot , both drives will have drive "C" , so go into administration and assign a drive letter to the missing one

    (6 min max)
