Hello All
I have a 256gb SSD, 830 Samsung. Currently Win7 Ulmt SP1
I have about 5 new blank ones sat at home, and I want to use one of them to be an exact copy of the one Im currently running.
So basically, a complete mirror.
How can I do this with the least amount of faffing as possible. I don't want to mess about with new windows installs etc nor do I want to reinstall all my games.
Is this possible in this tech savvy world?

yes , google the question then d/load one of the many disk cloning proggys that are FREE OF CHARGE
I suggest http://www.partitionwizard.com/ and to clone the WHOLE drive , not just a partition
others will suggest there favourites no doubt , but this one is proven to workSave a Rachael

Another options is to get an IcyBox. I have one - it involves taking your physical drives out and plugging them in, but it clones at the touch of a button - no PC required. You can plug the device in to read from the discs too if you want.To err is human, but it is against company policy.0 -
I use clonezilla myself, but if you are not familiar with linux it can be a bit daunting. Minitool Partition Wizard (link in pappa golf's post above) is also very good and easy to use.poppy100

My Samsung SSD came with a CD that included cloning ('Data Migration') software. Have you not got this? If not, you can download it from the Samsung site. http://www.samsung.com/global/business/semiconductor/minisite/SSD/global/html/support/downloads.html
I used it to clone my old HDD to the new SSD using this enclosure ... http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00FCLG65U?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage
I see no reason why the same Samsung software couldn't be used to clone one SSD to another so long as they are both Samsung products.... DaveHappily retired and enjoying my 14th year of leisureI am cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.Bring me sunshine in your smile0 -
I'm intrigued as to what an INEXACT clone is.Move along, nothing to see.0

yup, partition wizard is good, but I still use Macrium Reflect (free) mainly.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
I use dd on a live linux cd/usb that way the origin is not being used , except for reading to copy4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 tracker again+ Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy0

External caddies connected to another machine? Copy/paste one drive to the other, having formatted receiving drive?
Or connect them internally as secondary/tertiary drives in a desktop, and again copy/paste?
If you just want the OpSys, then take the current drive out, insert a blank one, and install. Repeat, repeat, repeat.0 -
why do you have so many SSDs? Have you considered doing a RAID setup on them for performance and redundancy?0
