Raw eggs is meant to be a good hangover cure, but every morning? I can't stand eggs - cooked - at the best of times, let alone raw first thing! Glad I don't have to kiss him! :rotfl:0 -
Thanks for all your replies, you've all certainly sorted out a dilemma for me. So from now on its in a pot dish in the kitchen on the work top0

Hi there
I read about this yesterday..in one of the cookery mags-i knew my useless information would come in handy one day...
it was saying that you should store eggs in the fridge, but if making cakes etc take them out of the fridge about 20 mins before you want them , as all the ingredients should be the same temperature..
so you are right to keep them in the fridge,,,:j-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

I buy my eggs from a local farm shop and generally keep them in a ceramic chicken (like the one that the mum used to use in the TV show Bread for all their money) on the kitchen window cill - which is North facing. During the very hot weather I do pop them in the fridge. I keep an eye on the use by dates but to be honest they don't hang around long in my house - MrH loves egg sandwiches and fried eggs
The chicken was left in the house by the previous owner and it is so tacky it is great - although I notice that Lakeland now sell them for around £13.

Hi.
I keep mine in the fridge and generally take them out about 30 mins before using. I have a nice egg holder in the fridge with 7 holes. As eggs come in 6 and 12's always wondered why they put 7 spaces for eggs in:rotfl:

If you rub your eggs with cooking oil to seal the shell they will keep for 7 months unrefrigerated.0
