the problem with dumping it, is that we are using the e-mail addresses for business purposes. and wouldn't want to lose them.
tiscali also don't support Migrations or MAC codes so that would be 15 days without broadband (don't know if i would survive)
is there a way we could buy the e-mail addresses from tiscali and then tell 'em to !!!!!! off?
i've still got an old Virgin e-mail that i can only receive e-mails onWhere the !!!! has the Shrug gone!just doesn't cut it...:think::huh: and these don't come close

my speed Says it's 100 M (with a capital) b (small b as per original post) p (per) s (second) that is how it's displayed everywhere (on windows taskbar and on the Modem's software. so forgive me for thinking that you are incorrect
ROFLMAOMaybe that's the speed of the router
What you're seeing is the speed of your ethernet card or router. Either, or both of these could be 100Mbs. Your internet connection would be nowhere near this speed. (1Mbs)is there a way we could buy the e-mail addresses from tiscali and then tell 'em to !!!!!! off?
It may be possible to keep your Tiscali email address active by using dialup access to check it once every couple of months (or monthly). I used to be with Freeserve and I can still use the email address while I'm on Zen broadband. I just have to dial in to Freeserve every now and then to keep the email address live. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Do what I did & register your own .co.uk domain name. This would look far better than a Tiscali address.
I used http://www.123-reg.co.uk which costs just over £6 for 2 years. You just set things up on their nifty control panel to forward any emails to your ISP email address.
Change ISP as often as you like without changing email address.

https://www.clarence.com which i point at my e-mail address and it cost me £2.90p for 2 years.(you can have up to 100 alias,s with it),its easy to set up.PF.0 -

Even Zen are not truly unlimited, every ISP has a clause in the terms and conditions saying if you affect network performance or download what they deem to be unreasonanle they can terminate the contract between you...
however I would agree that Zen, myself being an ex customer, has the nearest you could get to, plus the service and stability is considered the best out there... that is why you pay a premium price but overall they remain pretty good value given the recent price cuts...0
