  • Bout to try and haggle a better fibre deal out of Pl*snet. I'm currently on standard - £9.99 + £16.99 line rental. Fibre is £14.99 so an extra £5 a month.

But T*lkT*alk (who in all honestly I wouldn't switch to if you literally paid me money but P*net don't need to know that) are offering free fibre for a year to new customers. I think P*net do as well but I'm not a new customer so.

Anyway, gonna see if they'll give it me for no extra charge on my current payment. Never know your luck.

I don't mind changing electric supplier every year, but changing broadband has always been a right PITA for me so I'm gonna try and avoid it :rotfl:

  • Update:

Getting my upgrade to fibre for the same price I'm currently paying for standard (so no change at all to my monthly bill), the router is free and the nice lad even waived the £6.99 p&p charge.

I still get my weekend calls, as well (which is NOT included in the TT offer and is an extra £3.75/mo with them)

Total cost with TT over 18 months: £491.10
    Total cost with PNet: £485.64

I won't count anything in this challenge since my bill is exactly the same and if I couldn't knock it down I'd have switched out (just not to TT) but still. VICTORY IS MINE.

£5 ebay sale today brings total to £65 for the month. Slight dilemma(?) The person who bought the item is a student and lives about 2 miles from me. I could get off the bus on my way to town to drop the item off, but would I keep the £1.99 postage or not? or shall I just post it at the PO? I haven't mentioned any of this to the buyer... ta folks
  • So excited I have to share - just cashed out £20.27 profit from my first try at matched betting!!! plus another £11 sale so... Drum roll please... £42.27 made today!!!

Don't quote me on this dinoboo, but I think you're only covered if you use one of Paypal's recognised postage methods. If they pay with Paypal and you drop it off, the buyer could then say they didn't receive the item, you have no way of proving you sent it so you'd have to refund them. I think that's a badly worded way of saying don't do it...unless they pay cash.
