  • Seems to be a New Moon tonight.

My old man always used to say "Turn your money over" when it was new moon. I never really understood what he meant by that - any ideas ?

Turning your silver over in your pocket in view of the new moon is supposed to prevent a shortage for the following month, old wives/witches tale so I believe

Thanks for that kimbob - I'm wondering whether it can be adapted to be more in line with today's meaning of "turning your money over" ?

Say by using some of this month's income to buy something of a decent value, to re-sell with 28 days, before the next new moon :)
  • Thanks for the reply lexbubbles :)
It sounds really good, I'm gonna drag them all out at the weekend and have a go. They're mostly 50's & 60's stuff (beatles, Elvis, rolling stones, country etc) no idea if they'll sell but I told my Nan I'd give it a try and plus I get to keep a few quid if they do :)

Also, I did the 'downshift' thingy on the weekly shop earlier and saved £26...does that count?

Just added up my earnings for the day and have another lovely £31.21 safe in the virtual bank :D mostly from surveys and PTC and a couple more sales on fb.

Thank goodness my minus balance in paypal is now a + so i was able to move £2.39 into savings. Need to do some counting up and moving money around as withdrew my winnings into a different account...bit of a confuddleduck now re my total :p

Still making daily payment of £15 off my mortgage which makes a nice total of £251.07 paid off it since i started the daily payment plan at the end of last month :D
Doing great there FC :T Glad to see you sorted the paypal thing.

Can I add to my target please?

I got to 335 on Tuesday and today I have sold some rugs for 25 and some old artists paints for 35. So I have got to 395.
I'm away all. Next week so no opportunity for selling but anyway, I am going to set a new target of 20 per day and aim high, so that will be 580. Another 185 to aim for.
WOW Gien - can't believe how well you're doing

Hope you make your new target :D
