Thankyou ladies. Am on rubbish phone and multitasking. Making Chinese costume for tomorrow, burning Hubby's tea and playing on tengi and Facebook
  • Haven't been able to check Prolific during my lunch breaks since Thursday as work has been so busy that I've had to go for a walk at lunch just to get away from the desk and to clear my head.

But on the plus side there are still surveys in the evenings, so once my current Pending amounts come in I will be over the £20 mark. Not sure whether to cash out now (I know Aesop advises against keeping money in accounts after you get to payout) or wait until the end of the month and see how much more I get.

On the other hand if I cash out now then it means I'll have a head start for March XD
  • Well the Gas Bill's in ! £43.16 incl £18 odd of "standing charges" their estimate £92.69 -so the saving is £49.53 - I'm claiming that !

But it seems we're using too much hot water !
  • £1.34 on Vivatic, 75p on VO

    £394.34 / 362.5 (42.82 / day)

    NEW TARGET £15 a day - £435. £40.66 to go.

    Hi all.
I've never posted anything on a forum before, but then I stumbled across this one and spent the last couple of hours reading everything from last year to now. I think you guys are amazing!!
I've just started trying to get into this money saving malarkey. I've got £4500 of debt and have only paid the bare minimum on them all for years and I'm determined to start clearing them. I'd also like to start saving for a mortgage deposit (which feels impossible to do while renting but hey ho)
Last month I sold some things on ebay for the first time and after fees I'm £42 up!
I'd like to join you all and do next month's challenge please x

    Welcome to the thread!

I'm another one currently renting, paying off debts with an end goal of saving for a mortgage deposit. It seems so far away but this challenge has really helped change my thinking. I look at money in a different way, and am more focussed on making money then spending it. I've already made more then I ever thought, and we are not even half way through the month!

And this thread is fab! The support and encouragement just spurs you on to do better.

Well done for starting with ebay, and I wish you luck with the challenge. It is completely possible!!

    Hello everyone,

Glad to see everyone is doing so well with their sales/money making!
After many months of having a pile of stuff "i was going to post later", I finally listed some stuff a couple of weeks ago. Made a couple of small sales on the bay of E, and after fees/postage, I have £17.51 to add to my total. Got to £20 on vivatic, only to be told it won't process until the end of March! Will not add anything that isn't safely tucked away in my account, therefore my total for feb so far is: £43.22.

Hoping for some more sales, and still clicking away at surveys!

    Happy Tuesday evening all!
Well done :T Great to see you're making money and good luck with the rest of the sales and the surveys

You can start at £5 a day if you want - won't feel quite so daunting - or jump in with the £10 if you want. Just let us know and Aesop will add you to the list.

Good luck with the challenge and ask if you want to know anything
