no extra to add to my total from the weekend, just a huge dentist bill and tooth ache that cant be fixed yet :(
well done everyone on your totals
and about the ebook of the bay, my uncle sells software which he sends via email... and then posts them a invoice through the post so they are still receiving a physical item, if that's any help to you?

I think there may be the start of an idea there kimbob - thanks for the lead.

soooo need some advice from the experts.

my printer had a paper jam other day, I pulled paper out but must have knocked printer head as now it prints double so it is illegible. not helpful when I need it to print myhermes barcodes.

have tried googling how to fix it and not getting anywhere.

any experts, any ideas? cannot afford to get someone to look at it as still trying to sort out smartphone.

I'm far from sure Aesop, but I'd go looking for a tiny bit of paper left inside the printer as a result of your pulling it out - maybe a wee bit got torn off and is messing up the works ?
  • If you have the software loaded it should have an option to clean/reset/realign... sounds like your heads need realigning or cleaning.

So sorry about your printer woes, Aesop, especially after all the hassle with your phone. I can appreciate what a frustration it is to you not having a working printer, I know when mine died I was tearing my hair out:mad:

Two suggestions you might find useful. My first port of call for any DIY fixes is YouTube. There's always someone who has uploaded a video on how to do it:j. Beware though as there might be a dozen possible ideas all of which the posters say is the best way of doing something;). I've saved myself plenty of repair costs over the years with all sorts of appliances:T

The other suggestion is put a wanted ad on your local Freecycle/Freegle group if you have one. If your experience is anything like mine you'll be spoilt for choice, loads of offers will pour in:j. I think you've had to already have offered stuff on there before you can request stuff, it's like that on my groups anyway. That's how I got my last printer, it was only being donated because the owners were upgrading, and it even came with some brand new original HP inks:T. Definitely the best printer I've ever had and totally FREE.

I forgot, there's always the Techie board on MSE but I know how much you love venturing over there;)

    Good Luck:beer:
  • Sorry, not getting on here much these days but no moneymaking to report anyway:o. A few spanners in the works to get sorted this week:mad:

Brilliant results, everyone, both on the moneymaking and post-count:j:T

Will pop in when I can. Have a great week, all:beer:

No more earned yet but I was just listing my old blu-ray player on eBay after it wouldn't sell on Gumtree when I mentioned it to a colleague - she says she'll buy off me it on payday. Saves on listing fees :)

Being ruthless with some DVDs now. I never have any time to watch them and have loads of TV box sets which I can put on eBay. I have hundreds of movies on DVD too but I know they don't sell on eBay. Does anyone have any experience of car boots? Do people tend to buy DVDs and books or would I be wasting my time?
  • Just got a £3.85 sale on the bay. 86/366 items sold.

Gonna try and work through a few surveys before I leave for my bus in about 2 hours.

This weekend I registered my Santander 123 account as tax free for interest, as my earnings for this tax year will be under the limit. This morning, they added £98 to my account for the tax they had taken so far. Excited to see my account jump unexpectedly. I've also done the same for my other bank, so hopefully they will backdate the change too.

I would have got the tax back eventually, when I do my tax return but lovely to get it now and a big boost for my target.
