Just received my £20.55 from Prolific so I'm out of the blocks at last this month:j
Also just received notification of a book sold on Amazon but won't add until money received. Not a big profit but every little helps. It's been a bit quiet on the book-selling front this past couple of weeks so I hope it's the first signs of a pick-up in sales as I could definitely do with it;)
Have a good day everyone:beer:0 -

My cheap tariff with e-on was up at the very start of December, as you all remember, so I switched to flow after e-on told me they couldn't match the MSE tariff I was on before and that I'd be paying £15 more a month. Well, Flow were only gonna charge me the same amount I had been paying on that MSE tariff so I switched.
Got Martin's Money Email this morning with the new Big Switch and hey, guess what? e-on are undercutting my new supplier by £3/month. After telling me they couldn't.
Now the cheap energy club won't let me switch back because it thinks my current switch is "still in progress" (it isn't)
£3 isn't much so I wouldn't be annoyed but not for the fact I was also getting the rewards scheme that netted me £15-20 a year in vouchers/clubcard points. Taking that into account makes it about £4.50 cheaper a month which, granted, is still only £54 a year but I needn't have had to change suppliers at all!
Morning lexbubbles,
I'm here
I'm sorry we couldn't offer you a more competitive tariff at the time, It's not that we wouldn't have told you, but the new tariff wouldn't have been out at that time.
As I understand it you'd like to now switch back to us, but the switch is showing as in progress via the cheap energy club. So, I think the best thing to do here is contact the club and see if it can be updated for you. Once it's all sorted, you should be able to do another switch.
Just as a side note, the collectives won't show on the website as this is something you need to change to through the club/site etc.
Hope this helps a little.

I'm not sure what's happened to the thread but all the helpful links etc ( that are such a source of help for new joiners and even for us oldies too;)) that have always been on the first page of each monthly challenge have disappeared:eek:
I know we can click through to them from the first post but I for one preferred the format that we've always had before. Sorry0 -

Hello all! Pootling along here. After multiple complaints, emails and foot-stamping at MotherC regarding their lack of delivery and then pathetic attempts at investigation, apology and resolution, I finally have my DD2s mattress along with a £10 gesture of goodwill voucher. I'll count this as I do need to get the girls some bits.
In other news, I had some hideous dealings with the child benefits office last month - the advisor hung up on me because I pointed out that she wasn't helping me get the answers I required. They were adamant that they had not received DDs birth certificate and as I couldn't prove I had sent it, they would not backdate child benefit to her birthdate, only the 3 months they usually allow. I duly ordered another certificate at a cost of £9.25, only to hear from benefits office last week saying they DO HAVE the certificate and would backdate all the way as it was clearly received on time. Also, would I like my complaint re: the advisor escalated. I said yes, as I would now be seeking compensation for the duplicate birth certificate. Something you can't cancel once ordered. Anyway, I yesterday received an email from the unconnected certificate office, stating that they can find no record of the certificate I've requested and have refunded my money!?!?
I don't know whether to be grateful to the universe for cutting me some slack or paranoid that the certificate office can't find my daughters records?!
