I would get my deposit back and look elsewhere, I certainly wouldn't fork out £700 for apram that's been sat on a shop floor for a few months...0

I proudly bought a Mamma's and Pappa's pushchair for my first son. It was the best wasn't it? So of course it was going to cost more.
The brake bent on it second time I took it out. Went back to shop, they offered to bend it back into shape but wouldn't do a refund. Said it happens all the time.
Mamma's and Pappas ceased to become a 'best good quality buy' in my mind. Not bought anything by that brand name since. Had far more reliability out of cheaper brands.
But if you insist on buying Mammas and Pappas did you consider searching for the cheapest price for that model and saving for it? As others have said, its really risky giving money for months to a shop in advance of getting the goods. The shop could go out of business, there can be problems with the manufacturer. Its all very well to maintain local businesses when you can spare the extra £200 such an idea costs, but I'd rather spend this money on my baby lol, not give it away to a local business.0
