And breathe... what a long sentence.Hi thanks for the help i meant travel not trabeb system lol its a mamas and papas urbo2,
Also the reason i opted for the payment plan option was because i only recieve around 1400 per month and ots a large local store where many people locally do this and thought it would help spread the cost, also we opt for the newer one because we have 4 children and only bought a new one for the first this lasted for twochildren before being donated to charity store, and bought 2 secondhand pushchairs both different brands after for the other 2 children both looked very good condition and both turned out to be of very poor quality and conned with the second one having a defect andwouldnt offer a refund. 0 0

Hi me and my partner went to a store and fell in love with a trabep system which was on offer for £699 we discussed a payment plan starting small and when it got to half it would be ordered weve now we have paid £200and the manufacturer has discontinued the pushchair but will be rereleasing it for morw money, the shop have said we can either pay more or have the ex display item and continue paying as we are,
My questions are, are we entitled to a refund as we asked if any new pushchairs would be released before we get it and she said not before june, im not saying its the Stockists fault but shouldnt we be offered it at a reduced price beong ex display? And even so we dont rwally want the ex diaplay as you fant really clean it thoroughly and are woried as you dont know what germs people touching it may be carrying,
On offer at £699? is this the same as the discontinued ones that mothercare were selling at £300+
Mamas and papas selling new at £549. £500 at Very etc
Would ask for your £200 back now and walk away!

Most shops ask for a deposit if you are ordering a pram/travel system. I know that I had to when ordering one for my daughter when she was pregnant. Yes, I could afford to pay it outright at the time, but who would? Better the money be in my account than the shop's. I know for a fact that my daughter could not afford to pay it outright at the time, totally irrelevant though as it was a gift from me, and something that I wanted to do, and was luckily able to do so.
OP, I know that you are disappointed but don't discount the ex-display model totally. A good steam clean would get rid of any nasties, and you could negotiate a good discount. No one will ever know.
If you definitely don't want the ex-display model, and there is nothing else in the shop that you want, then you should ask for your money back.0

Tell the shop they have 2 choices.
 1) Complete the contract as agreed
 2) Issue a full refund.
In order for a contract to be balanced, it must be equally binding on both parties. Any term allowing them to vary the terms while remaining binding on you would be unfair and legally unenforceable.
What was said about paying up is good advice though - especially in todays economic climate. If they don't allow you to make instalments by credit card, don't prepay. Usually companies won't give any notice to the public that they're having financial difficulties until the administrators have already been called in - and by that time, its already too late and you'd be lucky to get back pennies in the pound.
Also part of the reason I don't buy gift cards. Bank notes are the best gift cards - accepted in any shop and no expiry dates. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0

. . . and all those germs lurking on an ex-display item :cool:Blackbeard_of_Perranporth wrote: »Please, think of the child.0

Why are you worrying about germs on the ex display model when you say
'and bought 2 secondhand pushchairs both different brands after for the other 2 children'0

If you think the germs on an ex display model are bad do not think of the rat infested warehouse they stock the items in before sending them out to stores who may have their own vermin problem.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

If only packaging had been invented it would solve all these issues.0

When some people have babies they want the absolute best of everything no matter the cost. I personally think it's silly a £200 pushchair would do me. I'll even take the ones the charity shop has available to save some money.
I think your comment was okay.
You did state if the supplier can't supply the goods then they should refund any money paid so far.
Personally I would never make monthly payments on account to a company before buying an item. What if the company goes bust. All payments have been lost, there's no pushchair and now you don't have the money to even buy the £200 one.
Really for a new born? Car seats alone are £100+0
