Hey kitten
Yeah I agree totally. Mad as I've always said same to others like when Atkinson diet and soup and cereal ones were all the rage which was great if had a specific event to slim for but as soon as the fad diet ended on piled the weight. I lost loads years back through exercise and proper but balanced eating and it took longer but it's stayed off (until I forget myself occasionally!!)
I see others on here who have paid back 15k within a yr or similar but I have to accept I won't be making huge dents with my situation but I can certainly make steady mini chips! I'm hoping the surveys will pay off soon towards it as I keep filling them out. I'm also thrilled as I never buy fresh flowers even though I love them and tesco orchard have invited me to review their flowers and are sending me a voucher to buy the flowers for this. Amazing!!!0 -
Was also proud of myself thur as took the kids out for whole day with huge bag of snacks and drinks so we only bought some chips for them both and I picked at their leftovers then I resisted buying a takeaway coffee which I'd normally get and waited til got home and made a filter coffee instead. I would have been doubly pleases had I had a chance to make lunch so as not to buy chips but we were on tight deadline for leaving so didn't get chance what with getting two young children and a newborn ready on my own
Today was NSD as one child really unwell so stayed home resting her poor thing hence me being up now typing as not only feeding baby but also checking her temp for about 100th time0 -
Hey note - how you getting on?! Did you post all your ebay stuff? I still can't find anything to sell, just stuff I want to buy lol xStarting debt £18,675.63
Current debt: £5,000 (16/05/18)0 -
Hey reality check! I've sent off all the first lot of eBay stuff and now have a load of drafts saved and every now and again I try to list them but ccancel.it as still saying 35 p listing fee. Think 1st March it resets to 20 free ones so I can list 10 with auto relish if doesn't sell and then can add more if some sell first time. Hubby has been listing his own stuff to sell (inconsiderate git. ..haha) so I couldn't use his free listings on his account like kitten suggested!
House is currently a pit as aside from newborn slowing down any cleaning one of my other kiddies still very unwell. I'm slowly going round cleaning and clearing and it feels great to be decluttering even though not all will be sold.
I'm definately looking into Marie kwondo when I run out of obvious things to sell!0 -
Marie Kondo is 'only keep things that don't spark joy'. My own personal method is decide on a part of the house. Get everything off/out and only put back what you're actually going to use. It's been good, my hubby has always wanted all of his gig tickets in a frame, now they are. I wanted to turn the baby cards into bunting, I have and I love it. It's actually doing those tasks you've put off. I go through stuff over and over, each time I'm more ruthless and it's great. I still haven't regretted getting rid of anything! I've also been replacing furniture with ikea stuff to maximise space and it's given me the flat back... Not very mse.
You are in trouble Mrs. I'm now obsessed with buying a Dyson v6 absolute and I've found one for £329. My husband said '£300 for a Hoover seems fierce' lol but it's £450 everywhere and it's cheaper than his car for one month, he shut up when I said that. I just feel like if my £200 one is rubbish then maybe I should splurge so I'm not buying another replacement in 3 years like I am this time. What do I do? Our Hoover is broken and a flat with two children NEEDS a Hoover.
I'm talking myself into it. Very naughty. And we wonder why we are in debt. XLoan 1 £5200/£8000
Loan 2 £300/£5800
Total £5500/£138000 -
Oh no sorry!!!! :A
That sounds like a bargain though if you can find the money! Don't know why they are so good over the others but they really are. Can't remember how much our Hoover cost us but I stupidly assumed it'd be good being made by the man himself but nope it was awful to push and had little suction then broke about a yr later (literally fell apart in my hands as I was emptying the rubbish. Think we will get a Henry this time and then when we've built up an emergency and household fund will look for a dyson deal when the Henry dies though they seem to go forever!
That's a good way of sorting. At the mo there is stuff everywhere and I'm totally housebound whilst DD2 ill. Once she's back to school I can start shifting the charity shop items so I have more floor space for sorting! Got so much ebay stuff to lost and much more to add as I've only just started unlike you. Really hoping for a deal from them soon on 100 listings!0 -
Woohoo...two credit cards now closed and I had managed to get myself a couple of quid in credit on one so they're transferring it to my current account and I have set up a transfer for it to go from my current account to mbna card.
Although I've seen on here that some cards offer cash rewards if you leave it open santander definately not happily shut my cards without any attempt to keep me...though maybe I need to take that personally??? Haha
I've also changed loan date to a few days after payday instead of the day before which is a great relief as it's a big chunk of money to make sure I always have sitting there at the toughest time of the month!
I received two good size samples of cat food which I order a few weeks back which gives 4 days food so I'm going to transfer £2 to mbna which is £1 per cat then on money saved on buying food0 -
Finally! Been given up to 100 free ebay listings throughout March. ..let the listings commerce. Happy days0
-
I got offered 100 free listings for 2 days. I only managed 10 but felt alright as I listed my pram but that has gone bum up. I hope you make the most of your listings. I remember when I used to do like 60 in a weekend.
Great news on the two credit cards! XLoan 1 £5200/£8000
Loan 2 £300/£5800
Total £5500/£138000 -
I was most put out when MBNA were happy to strike me off their books. For a fortnight! Like you I was expecting a bt offer or something. Never mind. Barclays £50 got me into far too much debt time and time again. XLoan 1 £5200/£8000
Loan 2 £300/£5800
Total £5500/£138000
