Thoughts on Bounts (Get paid for walking)

Huh. Either they've been hacked (showing ok for me), you're on the wrong site or you have a virus.

It only did this when I accessed the site on my tablet. The PC is fine. Virus check shows nothing. When it happened there was no way to close these pop ups down except by closing the browser page for blount. Seems okay now so maybe I reacted a bit too quickly. Couldn't sync yesterday either but worked this morning (only did 240 steps so far so hope it is possible to do it again later).

Can you use it to count steps if it's not connected to WiFi? Downloaded it for my WiFi les iPod bu not sur if it worth it now!

Can you use what? If you mean the Bounts app then it doesn't actually count your steps or activity, it just collates the information you link it to from other apps or fitness devices.

For example, I have a Fitbit and also use MapMyFitness (dog walking version) which monitor my steps/activity and these are both linked to Bounts which then gets uploaded every day to earn my points.

You would certainly need some sort of data connection, either WiFi or 3G/4G though for the app to access the data from your other apps/devices.

I think Bounts.it has been hacked / leaked users' emails. Would those of you who are members please check your email account registered with Bounts and see if you've recently received any spam with any of the following subjects (check your junk mail folder)?

I never receive spam anyway so wouldn't notice. I am rather annoyed that my latest voucher hasn't yet arrived though. I ordered it well over 2 weeks ago now!
