Today we are off to the cinema, I’m going to try and sneak a bottle of coke in and some sweets in my coat pocket! Tickets have already been paid for.
I’m trying to formulate some goals for this year and have just looked back though my diary to this time last year. That was a crazy time, trying to get the house ready to sell!
This year I want to keep it simple and try to take it a bit easier, I’m hoping the ingrained mse ways will mean we will still make progress, just not st the same crazy speed as the last couple of years. This is a marathon after all
There will be a lot of extra training and travel to competitions with pupster next year, so I need to keep organised and on top of things to keep on track. The first one is next week and I’m planning to carshare which should reduce the cost a bit.
Savings need to be replenished and quite a few bits of work up the stables to improve the area will keep us out of mischief no doubt.
I must also look at extending the planning application on the house extension, there’s no great rush needed to get it done as we don’t need the extra room and I think we will push that out another year.0 -
Happy New Year!
Yesterday I spent the day catching up on a couple admin related tasks. I sorted out the expenses receipts and made an OP of £469.07. It won’t be applied until tomorrow though when the banks are open again.
To round off 2017, we have
Mortgage outstanding £229,946.70
Savings £5370 -
Happy New Year! and it's a great way to end the old one, by making a substantial OP, good for you2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hope you got your sweeties in to the pictures. On the rare occasions we go I have been completely blatant about it.0

First work week of 2018 done
Just a little one as Monday was BH and I had yesterday off for a dog event.
I did a carshare there, so now have £30 cash from the person we gave a lift to as well.
After wages went round the various accounts there was a small amount left over, so shuffled that over to savings, which now stands at £618.
We have an experience day today, which was a gift, so no spends there. There will be spends today as we need horse feed and bedding.
This weekend I need to mealplan, book a shopping delivery, make soups for lunches next week, sort the fridge out, do the dog entries for events coming up and book training, chase up a missing 3bay item, ironing, lots of dog walking, clean stables and collect wood for the fire. I will be surprised if I get it all done, but it will be good fun trying!0 -
Good luck with all that!0

Well I managed it all, but I was worn out afterwards!
The mealplan is scribbled on paper and not the neat electronic copy printed out that we normally have, but it will do.
I've just updated CP for the week and I'm currently cleansing my inboxes, I plan to keep a nice neat tidy inbox for all my mail accounts, not just my work accounts.
The big dog lost his coat at the weekend, which I'm gutted about. I've ordered some fabric to make a new one but I think I might be a bit dillusional about getting the time to do this! Hubby did pick up a cheap one for now from the big green pet shop.
Pupster is back to training tonight and tomorrow night, so a couple of £ needed there, but hopefully there will be no other spends this week.0 -
Wow. I'm very impressed. I'm in awe, in fact! Sorry the dog lost the coat though2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Thank you KarmaCat
That’s another week done with just a couple spends for dog training and a big spend for a shopping delivery. I’m going to make it stretch though and see if I can find some new easy recipes for the end of the month (meal plan is only done for a fortnight). I mentioned the fact I had a meal plan in the office the other day and everyone looked at me as if I had two heads!0 -
I don't understand why organisation/planning is such a foreign concept to people - I've gotten strange looks when I mention that I have a budget.0
