I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

The ownership of the land is not commercially sensitive, indeed it is probably in the public domain if you know where to look.or if you get the details from the Land Registry
I didn't think of that, I'll have a look at the Land Registry website now, see if it's easy to find.0 -
you pay them a fee, pass them the details or address etc and they give you the details of the landowner
the PPC dont have to tell you diddly squat0 -
Ah well, I'm not paying a fee for the information, I'll just go back to ignoring!0

My plan is still to ignore them until the letters escalate but just to update people, after sending the templated appeal letter to PCM, they have come back today to say "we cannot accept your appeal as the case is with a debt management company. Please appeal to them".
Obviously, I'm not doing that and will carry on ignoring.0 -
So, it's been a week and there's been no further letters from PCM or Debt Recovery, after the PCM letter saying the appeal was ignored because it's already been passed to Debt Recovery and I'd have to appeal to them, which I didn't do.
What normally happens next? Are PCM likely to just go away, or should I expect further letters? I think, from reading the advice, I can ignore letters and only respond to a court letter, but I wanted to pre-warn my wife that we will probably be receiving increasingly threatening letters and she should ignore them. I can't imagine they'd just go away, would they?0 -
No-one can predict, but expect them to continue.0

1. More DRP letters - around 1 a month for about 6 months, then a few further tries until 6 years are up.
2. Probably, will leave to DRP.
3. Ignore, but always respond to court (or LBCCC) letters - can only come from the PPC (not DRP) or from the landowner (extremely unlikely).
4. 'Threatening' - do you mean as in an increased use of red ink in their letters - scary!
5. They won't go away - you've just got to ride it out for 6 years or receipt of court papers, whichever is the sooner. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. OK thanks. I'm pretty happy to ignore DRP letters. If I receive another one from PCM, I'll make sure I read it properly to see if it requires action. I can't imagine the landowner would contact me - but it'd be good if they do, as I haven't been able to find out who they are and I wanted to get them to cancel it!
One more question from me - what if I move house in the next 6 years? I'm actually planning on moving out of my current rented accomodation into my own house this year sometime - what happens if I don't receive important letters like court ones?
Thanks0
