  • No it's not dependent upon the successfully completed switch of DD's..

If the DD organisation doesn't complete it, respond then it would never be completed.. ergo you would never receive your 100....

"within 6 weeks, following end of month after receiving second payment"

If you ain't got it, then, chase it......
July opened. Payment of 1,000 in july, aug. receipt of 100 sept............. As per T's & C's

Thats right you wouldn't receive your £100.
I may be wrong but I don't think you will find anyone on here who has received the £100 before at leat one DD/SO has been successfully transferred by the switching team.

It doesn't say agreeing in the T+Cs. It says "You have to use our Switching Team to transfer Direct Debits and standing orders from your existing account elsewhere to your new Halifax current account."

I'm not sure I understood you. Aren't we saying the same thing? By saying "agreeing", I meant let them do the donkey work rather than doing it ourselves.

I would agree with this statement as the timeframe in the T+C is quite long between first payment and date £100 is due. If transfer hasn't taken place by then, it would look as though something had gone wrong anyway on a wider scale than just the incentive payment.

Im saying that to satisfy the condition a dd has to be transferred to your account. The condition isn't satisfied if you request the switching team to attempt to switch and for whatever reason that switch fails to move any DDs to your new account.

Not necessarily a DD [but maybe you MEANT a dd or an SO]. No DDs were switched to mine, only hastily-set-up SOs. I've had my £100.

Yes I did mean DD or SO
  • I've just received my £100 from BoS. However, my partner has not and has been told by two members of telephone staff that she is not eligible as she already has a Halifax ISA and existing customers are not eligible. She opened the account before me and has paid in over £1000 for three months running now. As far as I recall the offer is for new CURRENT account customers rather than new customers as a whole (she has never had a c/a with Halifax or BoS). I have a Halifax regular saver and web saver and I still qualified. The customer service at BoS is truely awful.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My £100 was paid in on Friday, exactly on time (the first £1000 credit was made towards the beginning of July.)

They made me jump through hoops, and then told me because I transfered the money from and Intelligent Finance account I didn't qualify, as they're part of the same company.

This was annoying, as them being part of the same company has never given me any advantage - in other words I still had to provide all sorts of ID, as if they were separate companies, and I've never been able to use a Halifax bank as if it was a local IF branch.

So I moved the money to an A&L account, and told the manager why I was moving.
