The £100 Switcher's offer conditions:
1. To qualify for the £100 switching payment you must open a new Halifax current account between 18th June 2007 and 11th August 2007. All account openings are subject to acceptance.
2. You have to use our Switching Team to transfer Direct Debits and standing orders from your existing account elsewhere to your new Halifax current account.
3. Our Switching Team must receive your completed switching instruction forms by 25th August 2007.
4. You must make payments totalling at least £1,000 every month, into your new Halifax current account.
5. The £100 switching payment will be paid into your new current account within six weeks following the end of the month in which you make your second payment of £1,000 into your account. The second £1,000 payment must be received by 31st December 2007.
6. Payment applies to first current account opened only (either through Halifax or Bank of Scotland), whether sole or joint. Joint account qualifies for one payment only.
7. The £100 offer is subject to change and may be withdrawn at any time.
8. The offer is open to new current account customers only and not available to existing Halifax or Bank of Scotland current account holders. New customers opening a joint account with an existing sole account holder will not qualify for a payment.
9. Our Student Current Account is not eligible for the £100 switching payment
If you paid £1000 on 18th June and another on 1st July then surely the earliest date for anyone to be sure Halifax haven't complied is 10/09/07?0 -
Not yet - but I have contacted CSWhat about the previous offers - I opened my account in February (they were running the offer then too) and I'm still waiting for the £100 having paid the second £1000+ installment in April. We may well need another poll later, but there are, from this poll at least, 4 of us still trying to get the money from them for the earlier offer! I repeat, this is a poll for those of us who have met the criteria and may or may not have been paid the £100. I agree that , those of you who have not yet met the criteria should not use this poll.0

If they've had previous offers, then perhaps the problem is not widespread and you are one of a few unlucky ones, jemmou ( I say with my fingers crossed).
People are far quicker to report the negative in general so if there were many non payers out there, I bet they'd have voted.

I guess I was lucky but my 'switch' [of my hastily set-up SOs - no DDs] from my dormant £100-incentive Barclays a/c went v.smoothly & they kept me informed by letter. Now my £100 has been received without my having to complain at all & they wrote me a letter to say it was being paid. Shame - I was all set to make an appointment with the lovely Chloe at the local branch to complain about it not having arrived... They're lucky, actually, that I am actually going to use the account. Just for cheques - my new current a/c at the Coventry doesn't give a cheque book.
(It's apparently too late for me to vote in the poll. It didn't stay open v.long, did it?)Expect the worst & hope for the best...0 -

Only one is eligible.
If all conditions are complied with including switching DDs from existing account you may get it by mid November but it depends on how quickly the switching progresses. I opened my account on 20 June switching of DDs still not done.

I thought it was dependent on the timing of the £1000 payments and agreeing to allow Halifax to arrange the switch not on whether the switch has finished or not. That's how I read the blue bits I highlighted in my post further up.
It doesn't say agreeing in the T+Cs. It says "You have to use our Switching Team to transfer Direct Debits and standing orders from your existing account elsewhere to your new Halifax current account."
It seems from other peoples experiences that the switching has to be succesfully completed before the £100 is paid out.
