Unless you are renting, there is no requirement for an annual gas safety check. An annual boiler service is advised, which is not the same thing.

Apologies I mean Gas service :)

For that kind of money, you can afford to be a little more adventurous.

Glowworm boilers do weather compensation, which adds a little more refinement to temperature maintenance. This requires an external sensor, not in direct sunlight. There was only the wired version when I installed the boiler:

But now there is the solar powered version:

I thought this was doomed to be battery powered, as you cannot mount it in direct sunlight, so no solar power; BUT:

"Works on indirect sunlight which re-charges the small PV cells"

Choose a Glowworm boiler, which is more or less the same price as everything else, and you can have weather compensation for about £40. If you like your gadgets.

Not too sure why you would want to replace the pump, as most wall mounted boilers come with a pump already.

Rather than be a keyboard warrior, why don't you give a detailed overview of boiler systems which is easy to understand, rather than trying and be a mug.

Cashtrapped took time to explain this to the OP. While it is his opinion I do appreciate it may not apply to all

I think you'll find I did acknowledge his input. (perhaps I was a bit too curt my apologies CS)

I'm no keyboard warrior mate, I don't have the time.

I also know that there are websites out there that can go through all the nitty gritty in more detail than I can on here and I'm a plumbing and heating engineer!

Writing a long explanation on here won't help as much as finding a decent, reliable RGI or Plumber, depending on what work you're having done, and sitting down with them for a face to face explanation. Sorry but I see it every day, customers who have read on forums like this that "this is what I want because I've read it on XYZ site" then it takes an age trying to explain that they can't.

Disagree with me if you like its a free country.
