I was interviewed for the latest DM article over a week ago, I was surprised to see it this morning, I thought they might have binned it by now. She was here for over two hours, but it's strange that they haven't used any of the photo's they took, opting to re use the previous ones.
All this publicity has been sending my blog page views sky high, they have just gone over the 17,000 for today, and still an hour left to go. Amazing.
I am booked to be on the Jeremy Vine show on Radio 2 on Wednesday at about 12.30pm. Also on Radio Coventry on Tuesday next week. It's all go here at Tightwad Towers.

Ooh well done hun, I love Jeremy Vine, and will be listening"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

I too will be listening and have stuck a note on the calendar to remind myself
:):) Well done Ilona on raising awareness of how simple changes can leave you with a bit more cash than perhaps you may usually have I am very OS,because that's how I was brought up and would find it very hard to be profligate when it came to my budget. In fact tomorrow will be my first food spend this month as I am trying to work my way through the stocks I already have in store

I'm back from London today. Love visiting family but wouldn't like to live there. My nieces house is 6months old and is lovely with all mod cons, but I prefer character houses. She moved from a Victorian house to this super-duper one. It's saving grace for me is that it is so eco friendly and gets my thumbs up for that.:D
I will feel the difference when I get back home as I felt like I was in the tropics there, it was so hot! I couldn't get comfortable and wanted to fling the Windows open!
It's nice to visit but there's nothing like your own bed, surrounded by your own things......Living a frugal retirement without treading on the planet :T

I hadn't checked our Ilona's blog before but must do now. It's always insiprational to see people living the life they really want to even if it's not what you want for yourself.0

I'm so glad that Ilona has reached so many people. I've been reading her blog for a long time now and I love her no nonsense approach to money. Anyone who finds Ilona's life style choices strange would do well to remember that if we'd all been a bit more like Ilona then this country wouldn't be in quite the mess that it is in now.
Spending what you haven't got is madness and I think that frugal living is having to be learned for a lot of people. For those of us a little older who remember a world pre crazy consumerism Ilona's ways seem like perfectly sensible things to do.Stashbusting 2019 - 230/3000 -
I'm sad that Ilona is having to defend herself so much on her blog!
If any of you guys have not read it, go and take a look please.
She has lots of good people that appreciate her lifestyle and views, which is just the same as ours on OS.:)
She's a kind lady and I believe people should be uplifted and not tried to be knocked down over what I see as a bit of jealousy.
I'm sure she can count on all our support.:TLiving a frugal retirement without treading on the planet :T

So sorry, peoples. I wasn't on Jeremy Vine today. Pete the researcher rang to say they couldn't fit it in as there was a lot going on. NHS strike, politics, and someone who was a member of a large family of ten siblings.
He said I will be on next Wednesday at the same time.
I have had a request to go on Channel 5 on Saturday morning. I can't go to London so now they are asking if I have Skype. I do, so now I am waiting to make contact with them to see if it works.
IlonaI love skip diving.0
