Thanks! It was a shock indeed!! I couldn't believe it!
Today is pay day, but not good news to report....I think in the past 2 weeks I have spent approx £1,850 on myself!! Well, mostly on me. I spent £350 in Kiehl's on an entire new skin care regime...I got an overnight oil and one for during the day, a fine line/plumping serum, a face wash, exfoliator, hydration face masque and another clay one for pores. I then bought their shampoo and conditioner (my hair is in theeee best condition it's been in a long time! but they added £39 to the total, I then bought some of the creme de corps body lotion and added bought my daughter a cleanser and exfoliator and came to a grand total of £346....my skin feels amazing though! I managed to resist the eye cream and daily moisturiser that I really wanted and would have been an extra £90ish onto the budget. I used to buy a lot of Kiehl's products and despite the splurge, I am glad I have went back.
Previous to this I listened to the hype and spent £40 on 2 face masks and 2 face moisturisers that are just like Clarins that Aldi were selling - load of rubbish!! Made my skin come out in a rash and also my daughters, gave them to my sister in exchange for her buying a Chinese and she loves them apparently so at least they never went in the bin.
My MOT of my car ended up costing me £300!! £50 for the MOT itself and then £250 on something to do with the brakes, a tyre and something else....I checked in work and was told it was a fair quote so didn't shop around and went with them.
My home insurance was £150, so I guess with that and the MOT that was £450 not actually spent on me!
I also fell in love with the Aldi version of Jo Malone candles. I used to be a big Jo fan, but quality has really went down hill the past few years since Estee Lauder bought over I think. I don't actually think they are the same at all, I prefer them, so at £4 each I have so far spent £20 on candles - talk about burning your money!
I spent £420 in Zara on a clothes. Haven't bought myself much in a while and most of what I have is workwear, which is formal dress wear, and I won't be out pushing the pram in a dress and heels! The old me didn't actually shop that often on clothes, I have never had loads and loads, but what I did buy was expensive designer brands. This spend did also include some cute baby clothes, as much as I just love Zara baby clothes, the majority will be coming from supermarkets as the quality and style is really good...in my opinion.
We also took my parents out for a fancy meal and cost £250! It actually cost over £550 including drinks, but I paid the food part.
I went to Asda the other night and spent just about £40 on 2 pizzas and the rest on cleaning products! I love Asda bleach and at 60p for a litre I sure stocked up! For someone who goes through a bottle on average a day I can't afford the £1.70 premium brand. When I say cleaning products all I actually got was bleach, floor wipes, flash wipes because they were £1 and Zoflora - can't get enough of it at the moment and fill my sinks with it and boiling hot water, but I am going through £1. bottle a day - this will have to stop!!
I was roughly £120 on takeaways last month and £150 on general spends, like iced coffees that I have become addicted to recently!!!...sooooo there we have it, £1,840!!!
I better post this incase I lose it......Starting debt £18,675.63

So with pay day today, new budgets made, my debt is as follows....
Loan to my Dad - £7,000 (STILL)
Credit Card - £1,500
Grand total of: £8,500.
Soooo although my debt has only increased by £50.00 I had a very good month with commission in work and had I not spent that money my debt would have been looking more like £6,600!! The credit card would have been gone, and I would have started to pay my Dad back!!
New month, new me :rotfl: let's hope for a month on plan and no extravagant purchases! It does show how much this debt holds you back and how that money could be mine every month...just need to hurry up and get to that point!! xxxStarting debt £18,675.63
Current debt: £5,000 (16/05/18)0 -
p.s I did get my quarterly bonus in work this month too, so that covers my share of Brighton and extra spending money for the wedding/time spent down there xStarting debt £18,675.63

Ha ha ha you well and truly fell of the wages. But like Rachel said you've made a person you deserve a few treats!
Now back on the wagon and get it shifted so you can live like that every month once it's gone!!! Once all the baby items are brought they are relatively cheap for the first year anyways. Free entry everywhere etc. Xxemergency fund:£179/ £1000 Uniform/car fund:£

Confession on here wasn't so bad after all with all the nice comments! But back to it....
Aiming for the usual £1,000 reduction next month and not adding to my debt this month. The 15th of September is SUCH a long way away!
I have basically spent the first weeks food budget on takeaways and eating out and only bought milk, biscuits, apple and bananas. OH is back to work so more of a routine should be back before we go away.
I have paid £40 for a class called pram fit! Gets me 8 sessions and there are 4 on a week, so we will see how that goes, doubt I will be going to 4. Will be a shock to my body doing exercise! Going to start when we come back from Brighton but paid for the block from this months wages.
Nothing else to update, OH is off with baby to his mums so I am going to make a cup of tea and catch up with Suits and Power xxxStarting debt £18,675.63
