Nothing much to update on, pay day is next week and can’t come quick enough. Have some friends over on Saturday night and offered to cook as can use stuff I have in and not have the expense of a takeaway.
Decided with my marine that we won't bother with Christmas gifts and book a few nights away in January instead. I don't know if this means we literally get nothing as don't want to given something however small and have nothing to hand over....but also don't want to be the one breaking the rules and handing something over and making him awkward. Probably over thinking this and not doing gifts means just as it is lol
I am so long out the dating game after being married basically my entire adult life...I am like a teenager I think - so my daughter told me the other day :rotfl:

Another vote for the Mayflower chinese curry sauce mix (I like chicken, mushrooms, onions and peas in mine - NO carrot) and Aunt Bessie's chips though I will have McCain at a push.
Could you purchase a couple of little things for your Marine that could be regifted if they are not needed. Chocolates, nice shower gel, that sort of thing?LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

I'm back!! Thanks for all your messages, hope you all had a lovely Christmas and best wishes to each of you for 2017.
My mum has been back in hospital - but is home now and on the mend, again!!Was taken back in, went really downhill we even got that dreaded call in the middle of the night to go straight there, but she has surprised even doctors expectations and recovered far better than I think they imagined. We normally have Christmas in my house and I get stressed out, no-one helps, costs a fortune etc...this year we had Christmas dinner on Christmas eve (chicken roast dinner), just me and the kids and the on Christmas day we spent it at my mum and dads, ordered an Indian takeaway and was the most stress free, relaxing time. I think this is the way forward, don't know why I didn't do this years ago!!
Done most of my shopping online and ordered a few things that need to go back - I knew this at the time of ordering but just wanted options to pick from and had no time to go to the shops.
I won't update my spends until all refunds go back on as not exactly sure where I am. Had a mixture of being too busy with work/hospital visits to spend money and one too many moments of f#@k it, it's Christmas but think I am vaguely within budget.
I am back at work, lots of diaries to catch up on and I am back and fully focused with making a big dent in my debt busting. It's good to be back! xxxStarting debt £18,675.63
