The few presents I am putting on credit card I will pay off next month before any interest is added onto them as not interest free on purchases anymore. I have been offered a quite few great deals recently, the old me would have 100% signed up. I still have massive changes and progress to make, but taking out anymore credit seems to be something that has stuck
Good stuff, it makes such a difference having everything at 0% and the deals are so good nowadays. Definitely moving in the right directionMay'18 DEBT FREE!

Still making baby steps, slow and steady wins the race....so they say! Hoping to kick it up a notch in the new year and make and stick to budgets. For the remainder of 2016 my plan is to pay what I can and not increase my debt!!
Yesterday cost me £4 as ended up driving in and thats how much the parking was. Meant a longer walk for cheaper parking but I refused to pay £9-10 in one of the big multi storey car parks.
Been another massive walk today, couldn't be bothered but glad I went. It feels like it should be bed time though since I've been up since the crack of dawn. Quiet day for the rest of the day which I am glad of. Having beef stew for dinner with mash and veg, a proper winters dinner, it is so cold outside! Going to make a big pot of soup to grab for lunches during the week.
Bought milk and the sunday papers for a change today cost me just under £4, taking paper costs out the food budget as it can't really come from anywhere else.
Off to make a cup of tea and watch an episode of The Missing, I really recommend it, it's on BBC1 xxStarting debt £18,675.63

Nothing much to update with, food and petrol budget still untouched. Have been doing some online Christmas shopping for my daughter using my credit card but this is all in budget. I did buy myself some matching pyjamas for Christmas eve - this is a tradition, I did plan on buying Primark ones but have caved and bought a nice set from Cath Kidson. £100 in total, but £50 will come from DD budget and will try recover some from next months budgets to pay for mine...bad I know! I don't like using the credit card again as so easy to get carried away, but I'm not waiting until the 15th when I am paid.
I also forgot about my Christmas tree...this will need to go onto my card too as I want to get it this weekend but it is in next months Christmas budget to pay it off. I'll be putting my tree and decorations up this weekend...can't wait, I love having the fire on, lights from the tree and all cosy on the couch xxxStarting debt £18,675.63

Think Ikea are doing a deal. Spend £25 on a tree and get a £20 voucher back. Was on this site somewhere I am sure xxDebt (1/9/14) £6,702.11 Debt free (30/11/2016) mortgage port- £70,077.82 and mortgage £126,517.39 o/s currently

I think it's fair enough to keep the debt under control over Chrsitmas and not pay any off. It just gets silly. I have a budget but then panic and think I need to buy more0

Yeah I got that last year Monz, it's a good deal. Just to need to be under control in January and buy £20 off tealights and napkins and not a penny more. £25 alone is a great price never mind £5!! :xmastree:
I am the same Louby, always think I don't have enough...it is ridiculous! It's just like food shopping, the fridge is jam packed hundreds of pounds of food for one day!! This year I think I can do Christmas dinner for 10 for about £30-40 max. We are having chicken and ham, the rest is just veg and potatoes really. Soup or prawn cocktail (got prawns) for stater and my mum is bringing desert.
In bad money news my car tax was up today!! I only remembered about 11pm by chance. I paid for the year on my credit card and was £147.50. I should have paid 6 months and started a year in June, December is expensive enough as it is.... but the new me plans to have this budgeted for next year so really shouldn't matter when it is........if my plan goes to plan which we all know has a habit of going off the rails quickly.
Busy in work today, need to go eat breakfast as been in here first thing and didn't get a chance to eat and my stomach is rumbling. I have a half(ish) day, finish at 2.30 and off tomorrow so can't complainHave a nice day! xxx

My love affair with coconut oil has ended...my face isn't feeling clean and don't think it's doing as good a job as it was with taking off my make up as it has been. Have been using quite a big sample I got with my moisturiser so think I will buy that when it runs out. Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean think it's £22.50 but a little goes a long way.
Nothing much to update on, still plodding along...money is non existent really but haven't used credit cards unnecessarily...I did use £12.00 out my food budget on a Chinese at the weekend and it wasn't even nice so never again. I really can't eat meat from takeaways anymore, really put myself off them.
After today I have 8 days to survive until pay day, can't wait to refresh all my budgets xxxStarting debt £18,675.63

I normally just buy the sauce from chinese. Cook chicken from my own house and rice... saves money and tastes nicer

I'm going to start that too...I love the extra hot mayflower one, and you are right does taste better! I also never normally eat frozen chips but ate aunt bessie ones the other day as DS was making his unhealthy 5 year olds dinner of chicken nuggets and chips and they were surprisingly lovely!! xxStarting debt £18,675.63
